PLEASE tell me Kessler and not Pavlik will get the shot at Bute in the fall? Mikkel is WAAAY more deserving of a title shot at 168 than Kelly.

Showtime's preference is for Bute-Kessler in the fall. But I am told the Kessler camp is asking for crazy money (which you can do when there is a lot of time to get it done). Besides, Kessler and Bute both have summer fights. If Bute-Kessler can't get done, Pavlik is the second choice. Bute's people and Top Rank have been discussing it.

I hope they make Bute/Kessler. The loser can fight Pavlik as a way back up the ladder.

bute kills pavlik. pavlik looked like a washed up fighter last time out. i think his inactivity has hurt him a lot and i think Bute will beat him handily. Kessler vs Bute would be a far more enticing proposition in my opinion
