The actress that plays Lady Catelyn isn't some super model, but so what. She's suppose to be older is she not? And most important, she's very convincing as a tough woman. Her scenes would be cringe worthy if they casted a more beatiful woman but wasn't convincing.

How hot a lady did the book people expect??? She has 5 kids and the oldest would have been what 16 at the start of the series?? How many hot moms are there with 5 kids and the oldest is 16??? Not very many. Even rather hot ones age very badly because of all of that stress.

I agree with both of you.

In the books I think Ned and Cat are suppose to be around 35'ish but I prefer that they went with mature adults, like Captain said Cat's had five children so it's no wonder she's a little stressed and worn out.

Michelle Fairley has done a great job as Cat. Originally Jennifer Ehle played Cat in the pilot, but she left because she just had a child.

Tamizin Merchant also played Dany in the pilot but was replaced for some reason, glad they did that as Emilia is far more attractive and convincing.

Cersei is supposed to be a one of a kind beauty as well. It's fucking George RR Martin, every woman he writes about has eyes like the ocean, huge pouty lips, huge supple breasts and wet cunts that drip like honey from a hive. He writes them this way and when you read the books you'll understand how he goes into ornate details bout everything, sometimes a half a page describing a characters leather tunic or the sigil of a minor house that he only mentions once.

I'm not a prude, but I find the sex scenes in the series to be the worst part. It really cheapens the show into looking like some HBO late night jack off series like Red Shoe Diaries at times. This season has been the worse when it comes to it. Throwing in nudity and sex scenes just for the hell of it when it's completly random.

See, I had no problem with the scene with Joffrey and the whores because it was vital and showed what a sick fuck Joffrey was. But what was the point of the scene with the dude peeping in on two people fucking and jacking off to it? Outside of just trying to be salacious.

I know that a lot of the sex stuff is written in the book. I'm not surprised some fat writer would write his own erotic jack off material in his books.

I just don't see the point in it unless it serves a purpse. I watch hardcore porn for that kind of stuff.

My guess is Littlefinger likes to spy on his customers to gain some sort of leverage over them, a bit like Vary's and his little birds.......minus the whuppie.

The only sex scene that really irritated me was Stannis and Melisandre, it was just so out of character for Stannis to act like that. And I know it happened in the books but it was just weird.

The SNL sketch where a 16 year old kid is supervising the script is spot on because at times, it feels that way. "There's no nudity in this episode, so let's just throw some random sex scene in."

Don't get me wrong. It's a minor complaint at best. The show is great.

When Dany is in Qarth in the book she wears a dress that exposes one bare breast, it's suppose to be a local tradition. The creators have decided not to include that part.

I know that. I actually prefer the European way of viewing sex. Not making a big deal about it. US is a bunch of prudes when it comes to sex and nudity and it's stupid. When I was in Ireland they had nudity in fucking commercials. No big deal.

My whole thing is when it comes to storytelling. In most movies, sex scenes are useless and pointless. It's almost always used as a gimick to lure in horny young males.

If a sex scenes furthers the storyline, I got no problem. Like for example the Joffrey and the whores. It was a vital scene because it showed how fucking sadistic Joffrey is.

Great episode to build things up for things to come

I don't see this Wildfire defense for King's Landing ending very well.

Theon is now reaching Joffrey levels of patheticness. His whole "I want to make daddy love me so I'm going to backstabb the Stark's who took me in" is great stuff. I really hate his ugly ass sister. I hope the wildfire works only so her along with her fleet of ships burn.

I love how Cersei is becoming what she hated most about Robert, an alcoholic.
