Williams vs. Molina or Bundrage in the works
RING No. 8-rated middleweight and former three-time titleholder Paul Williams is being targeted for a Showtime-televised return to the ring in January against either Chicago-based RING No. 5-rated junior middleweight Carlos Molina or RING No. 8-rated junior middleweight Cornelius Bundrage.
The 28-year-old Molina (19-4-2, 6 KOs) and the 38-year-old Bundrage (31-4, 18 KOs) are both right handed fighters.

Molina deserves a Pay day. Hes a top 5 guy in his division and he settles in being a sparring partner to lesser guys for a living, its just BS no one is giving a shot for a big fight.

I thought Williams was dropping back down to welter. Williams doesn't fight either one of these guys.

He'll fight whoever Showtime tells him to fight. Showtime isn't in Hayman's pocket.

At middle? The guy was talking retirement a few months ago. I can't see him fighting tough veterans at Middleweight. Even if he wins both of these guys will give him a fight and he will endure punishment.

Williams should stick around at Jr Middleweight, he has a better chance there. plus he matches up well against Molina. If he looks bad enough, Canelo will be in the near future for him.

PW is easy to hit but he has struggled alot with southpaws. Quintana (first fight), Martinez, Lara. All showed that if you can throw a straight left you can hit him with it repeatedly.
He hasn't had as much trouble with orthodox fighters. Of course after the many shots he has taken, Molina may be able to beat him at this point.

Middleweight is void of talent

154 is right for Paul
Molina has a shot to outbox him, crafty fighter
Bundrage has a puncher's chance. Is Steward still training him?

Williams should retire. Last time he fought they talked about how much he's saved and how he doesn't have financial worries, so there's no need for him to get beat up. He's not the best at 154, and if he has to go up against a puncher again he'll get hurt. I think both these fights are safe for him because even if he loses he probably won't take too much punishment, but if he wins, what next?

williams days are numbered. too many hard fights and the blueprint to beat him is there. anybody that can sit down on their shots is going to be a nightmare for williams at this stage in his career.

At Jr Middleweight Paul Williams could be successful, the division isn't exactly brimming with talent.
