Sergio has/had an opportunity to make some cash as the only big name in his division but he refuses to cash out like that. He needs to aim for at the very least junior middleweights.

We want a P4P guy to fight in the division he is champ in or step against a guy who is as big or bigger. What will a 150 lb fight do for either? Pac will be slammed for another catchweight fight and won't be considered the 160 lb champ. Sergio will be going against a man 20 lbs smaller than him.

have to disagree margarito is martinez's size and i enjoyed his fight with pacquiao. 150 or not if pacquiao beats martinez this will at least on my book give pacquiao tons of credit. there is absolutely NO challenge for martinez at 160 he called out angulo and they didn't want it and called out cotto and he didn't want it either. so what are his choices 168??? that's not his division either. why not try to get paid??

Margarito is a much more flawed and worn fighter. Sergio will be absolutely drained at 150. Sturm, Geale, JCC Jr, Pirog, Golovkin, and Abraham are all nice choices. Canelo will be there soon. Pavlik could have a redemption angle.

He fought at 160 the same amount of time Pac fought at 147 so if SM recently moved to 160 then Pac recently moved to 147

Isn't the weight difference between Sergio and Pac just about the same as the weight difference between Sergio and Bute just in reverse? Sergio is fairly small for a middleweight and has never even weighed in at the middleweight limit. Sergio is really a natural junior middle while Bute is a natural light heavy. Both fights would be interesting but I think the bigger guy wins in both fights just because he is the bigger guy.

I wouldn't mind see Sergio in a rematch with Pavlik (although I think he wins again), someone like Abraham, Cotto, Sturm, or any of the other top junior middle or middle weights.

Wow Pacquaio went up to fight for Martinez's Jr Middleweight championship, wins it, but cant fight Martinez at Jr Middleweight? Like its been said on the board before, if you win a championship face the top guys. Floyd won the same championship at the same weight class, a fight should be possible. Martinez is the best fighter in the world, he destroys anyone at Welter, Jr Middle and middleweight. Fuck Bute, he has the winner of Ward-Froch to catch. He should finally step up and fight someone good in his weight class because he has yet to do so.
