wish someone had shown him to throw the right hand properly. He could have been taught how to slip a jab much better by now.
Could afford to drop some more weight, but even at 235 he has pretty good energy and better handspeed.
Looks to throw shots in combination.
Another step in rebuilding his career.

Re: Atlas bashing Pac-Man again
teddys talk with hopkins was way out of line.yes what he said is very very true about the many incomlete top fighters of today.but thats not the reason or the only reason hopkins won.hopkins is correct that making a fighter fight at your pace or controling the tempo of a fight is an art and skill.and yes hopkins as teddy noted is a complete fighter but teddy refuse to acknoldge1.hopkins is correct on the skill of controling the pace .2.the guys 46 years old and has to execute all thoses complete skills to win ..he makes it sound like hopkins was 30 and yes then teddys correct.the complete equaly talented fighter wins most of the time against a incomplete fighter..no credit to hopkins for retaining his youthfull abilkty at 46..99 and 9 tents of all the fighters at 46 with all the skills in the world get beat by a prime strong incomplete fighter.thats a fact that history has proven out many many times.
teddy downgrading hopkins win is totaly disgusting.bo hop made him look a little foolish and teddy gets argumentive a bit..get ride of this guy..theres much atlas does bring to the table of course but its negated big time with stuff like this and the pac -peds email or the complete downgrading of pac...theres something inside deep inside teddy that he resents fighters who accomplish beyound normal things.accomplish great things and teddy will badmouth you next...this guy is NOT a assett to boxing today with his loose mouth...what he did tonight was uncalled for wrong and out of place..its begining to be a constant habit with him...

Re: Atlas bashing Pac-Man again
Teddy made himself known to the public by revealing disturbing facets about "Mike Tyson's" personality. He pretty much made himself known by badmouthing someone else. This is coming from a guy with no love for Tyson. Only today can something that pathetic lead to an announcing job.captainanddew wrote:I'm growing increasingly tired for Teddy. He does way too much shitting on the sport. During the telecasts is not the time to shit on the sport and its fighters. But he does it at every opportunity.

Spot on. Teddy's become a bitter no-it-all who is constantly wrong in his assessment of fighters and predictions of fights. He's a full on critic of the sport.dmar5143 wrote:teddys talk with hopkins was way out of line.yes what he said is very very true about the many incomlete top fighters of today.but thats not the reason or the only reason hopkins won.hopkins is correct that making a fighter fight at your pace or controling the tempo of a fight is an art and skill.and yes hopkins as teddy noted is a complete fighter but teddy refuse to acknoldge1.hopkins is correct on the skill of controling the pace .2.the guys 46 years old and has to execute all thoses complete skills to win ..he makes it sound like hopkins was 30 and yes then teddys correct.the complete equaly talented fighter wins most of the time against a incomplete fighter..no credit to hopkins for retaining his youthfull abilkty at 46..99 and 9 tents of all the fighters at 46 with all the skills in the world get beat by a prime strong incomplete fighter.thats a fact that history has proven out many many times.

I often joke that you should wait until Teddy picks a fighter and then you lay down some loot on the opponent.

Re: Atlas bashing Pac-Man again
ESPN boxing analyst Teddy Atlas has become famous (or infamous) for what many feel is undue and unfair criticism of Manny Pacquiao, which in turn has led to Atlas being pretty criticized himself. Al Bernstein of Showtime offered his thoughts on Atlas' comments, which most recently suggested Pacquiao needs to go further up in weight to prove his worth:
"I saw this interview with Teddy Atlas and he was just ripping Pacquiao for his choice of opponents, which is essentially the same choice of opponents that Mayweather fought. The same guys, except you can add to his list was Cotto, who is still a decent fighter when he fought him and still is now. Margarito, who had his history but is still a big, strong guy. And here's the thing about Clottey, while he didn't fight well against Pacquiao, certainly he was one of the top three or four welterweights when Pacquiao fought. He won a title, we knew he was a very good fighter. He was fighting all these real welterweights.
... "Everybody out there who is reasonable to fight, he's fought. And how do you ignore all those wars he had with Morales, Barrera, and Marquez? To suggest that Manny Pacquiao's schedule has been soft is beyond my comprehension. And to throw Mayweather up as the example? I just think it's interesting.

If he was smart, he'd let it go. But knowing Teddy, he'll fire back, and keep digging himself deeper. He realy has become a punchline.

Better yet, Teddy should show what kind of man he is and next time they are doing a fight in LA, go spar with Pac at the Wildcard for the "Fight Plan"

Al Bernstein-I agree with him alot of the time and when I don't (I do here), he is still usually rational and with something to back up his statements. If only Teddy were the same.
