Lost my job
While i'll obviously miss the pay and benefits, I sure as fuck won't miss the job! Since I have nothing to do today, don't be suprised if you see some drunken, incoherent posts.

I think another door will open for you NJ Beatdown. Any guy who can think of a name that good has a lot going for him.
That said, I'm sick of this country (America.). Trillions of dollars are being wasted on war and theft while honest men are trying to tread water. Those that steal among us are not the smartest, just the most amoral and aggressive.

Thanks guys. I'll be fine, i'm going to work at my part-time job in the meanwhile. while I look for something else. I'll probably work on some of scripts that have been hanging around forever and keep up with my muay thai and capoeira training.

Re: Lost my job
I went to school for digital filmmaking, but enjoyed writing scripts more than anything on the technical/filming end. I'm always thinking up new ideas for stories/scripts, but never have really pursued it. Wouldn't hurt to maybe work on it a little more now, assuming I don't take the big leap and do what I've always dreamed about (go to Thailand, find the right gym and train my ass off/fight).

Re: Lost my job
In the last 30 years the rich have gotten richer, the lower and middle class have stagnated and/or gotten poorer.
income growth 1979-2007
top 1%- 240.5%
95-99- 71%
90-95- 55.3%
80-90- 40.6%
40-60- 19.2%
0-20- 10.8%
Things are tough. I hope you find something better. Keep your head up and your mind occupied with positive thoughts.

Re: Lost my job
I'm actually pretty lucky. Still living at home, really don't have to worry about food and rent, just the other bills which my part-time job I've kept working in will cover. I'm scheduling my time around work to allow myself chances to look for work, work on creative stuff and keep up with my muay thai and capoeira training (I might finally have a fight sometime within the next year) so I won't go crazy sitting around all day.
Thanks for the positive thoughts guys
