dispite the foolish golden boy attempt to take away potential ppv numbers from the martinez fight i think 450-600 thousand is a good number.as of this morning there 513 tickets from a sellout or 18000 folks.big gate also..the alvarez fight is giving away thousands of free tickets.stupidity reigns.a excellent fight card the alvarez fight should of been held at friday night.it would of sold out if prices were resonable.why.the crowd coming in for saturdays fight would of gotten tickets for both.golden boy also should of had a friday night ppv at 20 dollars a ticket.theres no doubt in my mind mexicans as well as boxing fans would of bought both.400-500 ppvs at 20 dollars after the split with local cable companies would result in at least the same cash or more then what showtimes paying for the fight.
they could of showcased alvarez without the expanding of the feud between gb and top rank.reason in boxing seems to take a back seat to stupidity..
