So is OU number 1 again?

Just wondering since we had the best win this weekend if we are number 1 again in the AP?

LSU and Bama had dominant, quality wins too so probably not. I don't care about the AP poll anyways. It doesn't even count in the BCS rankings anymore.

so? OU dropped last week even after a 62-6 win. The ap really is a joke. They favor the SEC so much its not funny.

Its just Florida is about as good as Texas and LSU beat them soundly. I don't think OU's win was any better than LSU's. Vandy is weaker than the other 2 opponents but they are MUCH improved this year. They are a solid team. It is hard to move someone down when they dominate a decent team. Temple beat Ball State by 42 also.

We lost votes after we won at Florida state. The ap is a joke.

I actually prefer the cumulative computer ranking than the human polls. The AP poll is worse than the coaches and Harris polls.

The problem is that the ap poll is voted on by a bunch of writers who just go with the flavor of the month. I like how the bcs ranks teams. I would rather see a playoff but the bcs is not terrible.

The positions realy do not matter right now since there's still a lot of football left to play.

But LSU will trump Oklahoma just on strength of schedule. Oregon, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Arkansas.

LSU got # 3 toughest schedule where Oklahoma got the 24th toughest schedule.

Yea, but historically speaking, they should favor the SEC. The SEC has dominated out of conference play and the BCS bowls for about a decade.

we will see this year. Ou is the best team in the country to me right now.

Once the first BCS ranking comes out after next weeks games, we will see if OU has their destiny in their own hands. It is hard to make up ground in the BCS rankings unless losses occur. I think OU and a SEC team will be in the championship but you never know. KSU and OSU could sneak up on OU. Wisconsin is sick and might not get the chance. How crazy would it be to have an undefeated Wisc vs an undefeated Stanford in the Rose Bowl?

Kansas state scares me way more than osu.

I hate the BCS. Division I-AA has playoffs and it works.

OU definitely has a good football team but i think that the polls are correct on this one. LSU and bama are both better. OU will make it to the national championship game though as long as they win out since bama and LSU play each other in 2 weeks. there is a potential for there to be a few undefeated teams this season (lsu, OU, stanford, boise, wisc).
