Pavlik in rehab

Such ashame an entertaining fighter like Pavlik is troubled with addiction, I hope the visit to rehab helps sort Kelly's life out.

fighters like pavlik have a lot of potential but just dont use it all because of things like this in their lives which is more important than boxing. hopefully it all turns out well for him.

I still believe the Pavlik that showed up against Martinez crushes PW in 6 rds after clobbering him with his double fucking jab. Just sayin. If Pavlik was going through a lot of problems during the time of the Martinez fight, he actually gave a pretty decent account of himself in the ring before he got cut.

Sure did...another what if

People do forget that Pavlik was winning and seemed to have momentum after 8 rounds in the Martinez fight. Obviously cuts are part of the game and Sergio can actually make adjustments unlike Kelly but I thought Kelly would've won without the cut. I'm glad he didn't though. We need a more exciting champ that is in a better mindset. Sergio can give us some good fights. I think Kelly was out of anything resembling a good fight at MW.

So they finaly admit he's got a problem. This been circulating as far back after he lost to Hops, and even before. And they always denied it.

Why deny it when you know it'll eventualy come out. Shit, if they didn't deny it and he got this taken care of sooner, he might still be the Middleweight Champ

FIRE JACK LOEW. Cameron Duncan in my opinion has failed Pavlik as a manager as much as Loew failed him as a trainer. This is something that should have been nipped in the bud a long time ago. Maybe now Pavlik will move away from Youngstown and the distractions that have caused or aided in his decline, including his family.

Pavlik needs to shack up with Larry Merchant. They'd be no drinking there

I am holding hope for Hopkins to come and save the day. Take Kelly to Philly and become his trainer.

I know, I know I have a vivid imagination.

Alot more important that Kelly Pavlik fix his life than that he ever fight again.

Hell, get Brother Nazeem working with him. Get his ass clean. Get him training. Teach him some simple things that he won't ever hear from "double the fucking jab Kelly" Loew.

admitting to an addiction is a very hard thing to do. it's a foolish thing to stay in denial about it and quite exroadinary and pathetic the way his management team have handled it. this should never have been let to spiral out of control and Kelly needs to get a new team. They are what is holding him back, they have no tactics in his fights and they don't have any control over their fighter. I feel really bad for Pavlik at this moment in time but i'm a firm believer that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I hope he can overcome this so we can see that punishing shotgun right hand in action again. of course Kelly needs to shoulder the bulk of the blame but it's those around him that should have dealt with this in amuch better way. Kelly has lost a lot of his prime fighting years now and it shouldn't have happened.

im glad hes taken the step towards rehab..the betty ford clinic is one of the best..as far as fighting again it depends on him aplling whats learned at the ford clinic to stop drinking..if successfull look for him to be back in about a year..

I hope he straightens his life out. He made alot of money already in boxing. He seems to be the kind of guy who isn't spending it. Get himself straight and if he never ever gets anywhere near his prior level, he could still live a long and happy life.
