Is the winner of the Strikeforce Tourney automatically ranked number 1?
I think whoever wins it should be ranked number 1.

I think for as long as the UFC and Strikeforce champs exist there won't be a true #1 until they meet.

But whoever wins the tourney is the most deserving of the mantle. They'll be undoubtedly the most accomplished Heavyweight in recent memory having beaten 3 elite opponents in a row.

Will the winner of the Super Six be the undisputed Super Middleweight Champ without facing Bute? I don't think so.
You can't have a Undisputed Champ without a fighter beating The Man or the two best fighters going at it to become The Man. Right now Cain and Fedor are # 1 and # 2.
Even if the winner becomes # 1, Cain will just get bumped down to # 2. So you'll still not have the two top ranked HWs fighting each other.

Fedor is the man not Cain.

That's opinion. I agree Fedor is the best, but to be undisputed Champ, got to fight # 1 challenger, which currently is Cain.

Fedor hasn't been the man for ages, for years he avoided top competition.

He's the man so he doesn't have to chase anybody. If they want him they chase him. Also, his last 3 fights have been against top 10 guys when he fought them with Arlovski ranked number 2 when Fedor KO'd him.

Arlovski was the only decent opponent Fedor had fought in years.

Sylvia was ranked 6th when Fedor demolished him. Werdum was also top 10 and it wasn't his fault that Barnett got busted taking roids.

Sylvia was Couture's leftovers, Werdum was Dos Santos leftovers.
Fedor cherry picked his way to Strikeforce.

Just because someone losses a fight it doesn't mean they are leftovers. Do you want everyone to retire after they get a loss?

That would mean Cain beat Big Nog who was Frank Mir's leftovers and Brock who Carwin had already exposed.

No but Fedor beating them after they had previously lost just goes to show he avoided tough challenges in his days after pride.
Fedor might go on to win the tournament but it's still not going to gloss over the disappointment of those days.

He fought the best outside of the UFC.

I don't think Fedor is avoiding anyone. His promotion are greedy fucks, and all about money. What's new.
MMA has ssme problems as boxing. All about money, greed, and egos. Why Fedor not on UFC. Why White refuses to co-promote with any other orginization. No different then Top Rank refusing to co-promote with out promoters.
Total bullshit

To be fair to Dana White I wouldn't co-promote either. The risk is not worth the reward.
