wtf danny ainge has lost it

he trades perkins the man who basically shuts down dwight howard everytime we play the magic for green...oh and nevermind he trades our back up point guards as well then he goes on to trade a promising center in erden AND another player for a worthless 2nd round pick.
that trade right there just cost the celtics the championship.
only thing i can think off is that they are getting rid of players to make a move for dwight howard when he becomes a free agent

Jeff Green is a great add to that team

I don't know what to think of this deal. Green is a free agent after this year. Perkins isn't old by any means. He was drafted as an 18 year old high schooler. If Ainge thinks he can rely on Shaq at this stage of his career I worry for the Celts.

my opinion of the situation is that they probably realized that perkins wasnt going to be healthy his whole career. they probably took the risk of trading him thinking that he was always going to be injury prone so you couldnt rely on him. thats my take on the situation.

my guess was simple. He figured Green could be another guy to help Pierce guard Lebron, etc...the Celts will see in the postseason.

He thought that need was more important than the low post issue.

Not that I agree with that line of thinking, but that is my guess.

Green takes minutes off Garnett and Pierce which leaves them fresher for the playoffs.

I am in love with this deal. I think my Thunder in one move is now a real contender this year. We can beat anyone as long as Perkins is healthy. Its a bad deal for the Celtics.

i totally disagree. i have always said that thunder needed a big man but they gave away a huge asset in green and also kristic was a solid player. their low post defense will be better but thats about it. thunder may pass the first round in the playoffs depending on who they play but im still even doubting that. they will not get past the second round.

Both teams are better in my opinion.

Have to wait until the playoffs are over.
