AllHipHop.com: Unifying the four titles is one of the most difficult things to do in boxing because of the politics. You win one or two, and they’re already trying to strip you of one because of a mandatory defense. This happened with Devon, causing him to lose his IBF strap. Would you be content just holding the RING magazine title?

Bradley: Absolutely. That’s the belt you want to have. There are no sanctioning fees, and you truly earn it. If I do capture Devon’s WBC title next week, and they start tripping, it is what it is. Everyone will know who the real champ is.

Bradley should just stay at Jr Welterweight and defend the crown for years IF he beats Alexander and Khan.

ABC sanctioning bodies have made themselves totaly irrelveant. Now, not even top fighters even care about their belts. MAyweather refused to fight for WBA belt because wasn't going to pay their sanctioning fees.

Adamek made comments that ABC belts are only made to keep your pants up. It's all about People's Champ.

Now got Martinez who's been stripped of WBO and now WBC belt, and all got is The Ring belt. So that's what going to go into the ring with.

Sanctioning bodies just continue to make a mockery of the sport, hopefully whoever replaces Greenburg ignores them.

What ESPN programming director Doug Loughrey did when took over FNF. Realized ABC belts were crap and why ESPN only recognizes The Ring

I realy hope Bradley get's The Ring belt. Now I wish this fight was for it. I don't have a lot confidence in GB sticking to their word that Khan will fight the winner

If he wants it he has to beat th number two guy in th division. Right now he has the flu and a fight with the number three guy inbthe division. He should be worried about the HBO fight he's headlining in a week and not about a belt he's not fighting for.

Hahah Timothy is only about 5'6 he's not really a big enough guy for Welterweight in my opinion.

GSP is roughly the same size as Leban and Akiyama.

The Ring belt can be pushed to be the real crown if all fighters show it respect and try to earn it. It seems more guys are tryna go for it now.

The reasons why fighters embrace the bullshit ABC belts are

The get paid more if they got a worthless trinket

Their promoter is in bed with one of the sanctioning bodies

And biggest reason, most fighters are medicre and will never get The Ring belt or beat The Man or top fighters of the divsion. So these ABC belts reward medicrity. Like giving trophies to the losing team.

Why I get irrate when top fighters who don't need ABC belts still embrace them. Pac is the biggest case in this. He's only using the ABC belts to padd his resume. Or might be just dense or brain washed into thinking he's a real JR middleweight and Welterweight Champ. I dunno

you'd like to think that it is the beginning of a new trend on the World boxing scene. if it happens in the US though and the TV networks stop recognizing them, then the sanctioning bodies will only focus their attentions elsewhere like Britain, Germany, China, South Africa, Australia, Mexico etc etc. but it would still be good for the sport because Boxing's home is in the US. it would change the landscape for the better over there and that is what the sport desperately needs

The ABCs straps are ridiculous. Nothing new. I'm glad Bradley's wisened up though. He seems pretty self-aware. Even in the faceoff it showed. Guys are much better who know their strengths and weaknesses. I think he'll stop Devon.
