wow this card is going to do really bad. I dont see many people even talking about this fight very much. It will do well under a million PPV buys, a lot of unsold tickets too. Floyd and company are charging top dollar for it.

I think it hits a million PPVs but it will probably be far under the ridiculous hyperbole that Richard Schafer has been spouting (I could have sworn I read that he claimed it was going to be near Flod-Oscar levels).

Yup. Sickening levels of greed is going to make this fight under perform. There are a lot of unsold tickets. Why? Because fucking charging 300 bucks for a shitty ass seat.

Well Floyd always has the biggest gates because he charges a lot. His gate will still be good and his PPV number will do good also. I think it will do over 800K, Its still a lot of money.

terrible promoting overall by all parties involved. you have what hbo and goldenboy thinks is boxings next darling in canelo yet the fight is not being hyped around him as well. nevermind that morales is on the card as well.

Only time i've ever been to a theater to see a fight was that AWFUL Hop-RJJ II fight, I have no idea why the theater even bothered to put it on. My then girlfriend got a pint of rum in her pocketbook and I got shitfaced watching that horrible fight.

I went to the Mayweather-JMM fight in theators. 80% of the crowd were Mexicans cheering for JMM. 15% were blacks. And 5% white (me and my buddy and few other white guys)

Floyd is fighting a American-Mexican on a Mexican Holiday with other Mexican fighters on the card. Boxing is still loved by Mexicans and they do buy these damn cards. Filipinos also do the same shit for these Pacquiao cards.

I went to see Mercito Gesta in SF earlier this year, even the over matched Mexicanos where getting cheered by their people

If it weren't for the fact that it becomes a crowded mess regardless of whether it's fight night, I'd be going to Fox and Hound. Once my gym rented out a room when Ricardo had a UFC fight, even though he had a bad loss that night we still had a good time.

That UFC show is an awful card though. Just a cheap show they put on to get free publicity from Budweiser (they had some type of fan contest, from those commercials with Dana and Jon Jones).

Even if Morales-Rat Tail was happening, NO WAY IN HELL I ever pay $70 for a fight, even if it were Joy-Pac.

I do that if I think the fight will be good. After doing it for Mayweather-Mosley, I doubt I can get the fellas interested enough to pay for another Mayweather fight. They are not hardcore fans. They just want to see a good entertaining fight. So I don't blame them. Especially when you can watch free college football

I've had parties before, but it depends on whose fighting, most of my friends don't really follow boxing and will only watch Pac. None of the guys from my gym seem too keen on getting together, especially since we have summer's end (a little late lol) BBQ that afternoon.

If not too tired/drunk i'll be at Fox and Hound, otherwise fuck GBP i'm getting a link.
