And anybody who tries to argue for the scorecards is fucking retarted

3 pt swing MINIMUM and even a DQ where on the line here

2 pts Agbeko got docked for BS knockdowns and at least 1 for the repeated nut shots

FUCK YOU GBP.

I am sure Don King will campaign the sanctioning body for an immediate rematch. Hopefully Showtime ask for one too.

I only hope Showtime pushes for an immediate rematch before the end of the year

But they declined the JuanMa vs Salido rematch due to lack of money and dates.

JuanMa demands a lot more $$ I assume, considering they are backing this tournament and the controversy, I think they could look to make before end of the year

I doubt GBP wants the fight though, look to make the Donaire fight ASAP

Thankfully I believe Showtime have rights on Mares's next fight. And Donaire is scheduled to be on HBO next, so doubt that will happen.

Fighters from Africa should just assume they will get fucked over.

Funeka vs Guzman, Ngoudjo vs Castillo, Clottey vs Cotto, now Agbeko-Mares

The video Vic made pointing out all the nutshots Mares got away with

I disagree with you with regards to Clottey vs Cotto. 4 points on that: 1-Cotto won on my scorecard(of course that doesn't mean much), 2-Clottey did take his foot off of the gas and thus has himself to blame a little bit, 3-Cotto was leading and cut by a headbutt. He could have taken the easy way out and let it be stopped and get the Technical Decision win. He should be given credit for continuing to fight and not taking the easy victory 4-Ringside observers (boxing writers) and boxing fans, weren't uniform in the scoring of the bout. If my memory isn't going, it was a fight where it was 55/45 in terms of who boxing writers and fans thought won, not one of those 80/20 situations that are truly controversial.

Love your overall point, so don't flame me for disagreeing with the inclusion of Clottey vs Cotto on an otherwise great list!!!!

I agree. It wasn't a robbery. I had Clottey winning, or a draw. The fight could have gone either way. I just don't think Clottey would have won that fight regardless.

you may be right sir.

What was the ref warning Agbeko about last night?

After a great amount of reflection and deliberation, I stand by my statement last night: Agbeko should have just walked up to the ref and hauled off and hit him in the nutz and asked how it felt.

Clottey threw the Cotto fight away, he stopped working in the last two rounds.

True. Why I'll retract Cotto-Clottey. But I bring up Clottey because how Arum just used him as a pawn for his big names like Cotto and Pac. I don't think Clottey would have won the Cotto fight even if he was more of the clear cut winner.

Not a race thing. It's the sad reality with boxing. Big name fighter or the fighter who's heavily promoted by a big name promoter will get the benifit over the lesser name opponent.

Just like NBA refs. They'll favor the big name teams. They, like Mora, know where the bread is buttered. Mora knows who's signing his checks. Not a coincidence GB loves using him.

WBC and WBO bantamweight titleholder Nonito Donaire is promoted by Top Rank Inc. and fights on HBO, while IBF beltholder Abner Mares is with Golden Boy Promotions and has fought all of his significant bouts on Showtime.

But Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer likes the Donaire-Mares fight, and believes that something can be worked out to bring the two, young gladiators together.

Schaefer's counterpart, Bob Arum, of Top Rank, agrees.

Arum said that Donaire would gladly face Mares "In a heartbeat," and, "without any question," but only if Mares emerged victorious from a rematch of Saturday night's controversial Showtime-televised majority decision that dethroned Joseph Agbeko.

"As far as Mares is concerned, my feeling is that what Mares should do is to give this guy a rematch," Arum. "I think that the IBF is going to order a rematch because that was not good. Particularly that knockdown in the 11th round, which was clearly a blow on the cup. I mean, what was that? The referee was standing right in front of it."

"Nonito Donaire would be pleased to fight the winner of the rematch in a heartbeat, without any question. We'll fight the winner of the rematch between Mares-Agbeko. But to go in and to have Donaire fight Mares now, when he clearly had a questionable victory, that wouldn't make much sense."

Donaire wouldn't have to worry about Mares smashing his balls. Mrs Donaire has them
