Pavlik get's into drunken fight with his brother

As reported by The (Youngstown, Ohio) Vindicator newspaper, former middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik, who was released from alcohol abuse treatment in January, was involved in a drunken altercation Friday evening with brother, Michael, at his parent’s home in Youngstown.

According to police reports, the former title holder “punched the west-facing side door of the home and pulled his brother, Michael, out of the broken window.” Reports also mentioned that both brothers had been drinking at the time of the incident.

Pavlik left the scene of the scuffle before police arrived and his brother, cut and bloody from the incident, declined to press charges.

Members of Pavlik’s management team said they were unaware of the incident. Pavlik has issued no statement.

I was one of the few people that thought Kelly still could make it back to a solid level at super middle by wise matchmaking and shaking off the ring rust but I'm now guessing he will only be beatdown in any big fight from now on. He could've been a huge money maker and had even better of a career without this problem.

Kelly Pavlik Denies Drinking in Fight With Brother

Earlier, we let you know about reports out of Youngstown that Kelly Pavlik had been involved in a fight with his older brother Michael at their parents' home, and that Michael Pavlik had told police that the two had been drinking. Kelly had left the scene by the time police arrived, so there's no way to really confirm whether or not Pavlik, who had two stints in rehab in 2010, really had been drinking.

But the former middleweight champ says that he was sober:

Kelly Pavlik, who via telephone spoke to a Youngstown television station on Tuesday, admits that he did arrive at his parents' home and ended up in a fight with his brother but said he was not drinking and has no idea why his brother told police that he consumed alcohol at the time of their incident. Michael Pavlik declined to press charges.

A couple of years ago alot of us said he needed a new trainer and to move away from Youngstown. He did neither and see where it got him.
