Re: Hatton officially Retires
He had a good career. He worked his way up at 140. He took out Kostya and it signified time for the future hall of famer to move on. He only los to the 2 best fighters of this generation.
A man of the people who is beloved at home and respected abroad. I hope he doesn't let his extra-curricular activities (drinking, drugs, eating) get out of hand again. He should spend his time focused on his promotional company (which has some young fighters), his family, and being an ambassador for the sport in his home country.

What a career. Hatton set an example that many of today's younger fighters can learn from. He beat some excellent fighters and only lost to the greatest of his era.
I really thought we were going to see an Oscar/Hatton fight. Their skills had eroded at about the same rate and they were both mammoth cash cows. It would have been a gigantic payday for them both to retire on.
In retrospect, I'm glad it didn't happen.

It's just a pity Hatton never got the chance to headline the first major boxing card at Wembley.
