Re: R.I.P Heavyweight Boxing
Kongo vs Barry just eclipsed the last five years of the whole boxing HW division.

Re: R.I.P Heavyweight Boxing
I see your still in pain bc Haye embarrassed himself vs Wlad...its ok Ali.
And ill even add that Haye vs RuiZ trumps any UFC Hw fight in recent memory

The division has been rapidly declining for years, Wladimir vs Haye was the final nail in the coffin.

Don't worry Chris Arreola will show you a HW fight once he gets Wlad in the ring

Re: R.I.P Heavyweight Boxing
The difference between HWs in boxing and in MMA is the gap between the top HWs in boxing aka The Klits is huge. Since the decline of Fedor, there is no real gap between the HWs in MMA. They are all medicre. It's like watching a Tough Man compeition.

I will say this though. It's time the media and people forget the past and the HWs being the glamor division. We will not see another US HW Champ in a very long time. The lowerweights have taken over. As well they should.
It's sad to see how the media clinged onto Wlad-Haye as if it was the last major fight since Pac-Mosley. WTF! We got a great fight this weekend that will be a fucking war. Yet will get half the media attention.

Re: R.I.P Heavyweight Boxing
How David Haye was able to talk himself into that fight is beyond me. He is, and always has been a complete non-factor in the heavyweight division. I cannot believe it took this long for him to be exposed for the fraud that he is. Sorry the whopping 15 punch out put you have per round isnt going to beat a jabbing machine on any scorecards Mr Haye. And it is also tough to knock someone out by taking 1 wide looping hayemaker every round without setting it up with anything. What happened in this fight was a HOF heavyweight fighting an overrated blown up cruiserweight. Asking for a rematch? Give me a break, after that pitiful showing i doubt that even james toney would give you a fight. Happy Trails Fraud Haye!

I want to see Arreola-Haye.
The fat slob would butcher Haye and we'd feel even more foolish for buying the Wlad-Haye hype. And we'd all deserve it for listening to that loud mouthed piece if shit.

I've been hearing a lot about Rahman Jr being the real deal. I've only seen a few AM fights of his. Isn't he trying to make the Olympic team?

Yeah I dont know if he already did or not. But from what I keep reading the kid is going to be a really good. But who knows. All I know is we need a good one.
Re: R.I.P Heavyweight Boxing
Yeah. I've given up on Wilder amounting to anything. His chin is suspect, and why I think they got him still fighting stiffs.

Re: R.I.P Heavyweight Boxing
I was never real big on him. But we know that Rahman comes from good stock. His dad had a bunch of power and was a big man. Maybe this kid has what it takes.GrantZilla wrote:Yeah. I've given up on Wilder amounting to anything. His chin is suspect, and why I think they got him still fighting stiffs.
Re: R.I.P Heavyweight Boxing
I said countless times before Haye vs Wlad that the division was on it's last limbs, it's got nothing to do with being bitter.

I don't see anything on the horizon to suggest that.

Just wait. The Klits will eventually retire and then there will be controversy and someone will emerge.Ali wrote:Soonermark890 wrote:Nah its just a down period.
