Chavez Jr. wins
At the Estadio Banorte in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, close to 12,000 hometown fans turned out to watch WBC silver middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (42-0, 30 KOs) win a ten round unanimous decision over rugged contender Billy Lyell (22-9, 4 KOs). Lyell was unable to give Chavez any problems, and that was main cause for the lack of steady action. Chavez took his time and stayed on a steady pace to land hard punches and win the rounds. Lyell was not big enough or strong enough to present a real threat in the fight. The scores were 99-92, 96-94 and 98-92. Chavez moves on to a possible shot at WBC champion Sebastian Zbik.
Junior middleweight contender Saul Roman (34-8, 29 KOs) was able to recover from a knockdown to stop Michael Medina (24-3-2, 19 KOs) in the second round with a barrage of punches.
WBC interim-super bantamweight champion Jackie Nava (23-3-2, 11 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Frede Gonzalez (6-7-1, 2 KOs). Nava had very little trouble outboxing Gonzalez, who couldn't put together enough punches in any given round. It was one of the better performances of Nava's career over a very overmatched opponent. The scores were 99-91, 99-91 and 100-90.

Cant blame Jr for the fact the WBC are corrupt...lets not forget that Martinez could demand a shot at the Zbik/Chavez jr winner....

Sergio would crush both men even if they were allowed to tag team up.

I dvr'd this fight
Just crap
Over matched Lylell had no power but was landing with ease, Chumpez would take rounds off and rip off a few right hands here and there
