There could some additional trouble in store for WBA heavyweight champion David Haye. BoxingScene.com has obtained a letter from the British Boxing Board of Control, dated June 4, 2009, which clearly states that mandatory challenger Ruslan Chagaev would not be approved to box in Great Britain. Haye's team has raised their concerns regarded the British Board approving Chagaev due to his struggles with Hepatitis B.

The letter, written by British Board General Secretary Robert W. Smith, states - "With regard to the above [Ruslan Chagaev], I have spoken to Dr. Roger Evans and a number of his medical colleagues and I can confirm that Mr. Chagaev will not be permitted to box in Great Britain."

In the last few days, Haye's fight with IBO/WBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko crumbled. Klistchko is now going to face Dereck Chisora on April 30 and Tomasz Adamek in September.

Gilberto Mendoza has probably already commissioned another belt to be made Mad

Remember the WBA have multiple trinket holders at Middleweight and Featherweight.

Yup. They'll boost Haye to "WBA Super HW Champ" and Chageav get the "regular" WBA HW trinket.

Total bullshit to begin with, because we all know the trinket belongs to Wlad for defeating Chageav.

He was stripped when the Valuev rematch fell apart.

More like Valuev night before the fight decided he didn't want to fight, and used "hepititus," as an exscuse.

You can get immunised for it. It's what Wlad did.

No it was the country's commission that voted against the fight, believe it was Finland.

Well whatever. Chageav was still Champ, he'd beat Valuev. Fight didn't happen, Wlad fought him. He should've got the belt.

Not like Big Foot would've fought the Klits. He priced himself out of fighting Vitali

that's how I see it going down. This should surprise no one. Haye will release a statement saying he can hold his head high as he knows in his heart he did everything possible to make the Chagaev fight.

Wlad took Del boy off the table for Haye. Perhaps John McDermott , or the long awaited UK rematch: Haye/Maccarinelli 2.

the thing with that fight was that they knew all along where the fight was due to be held and what Chagaev's medical condition is. The fight was cancelled a day before it was due to happen. Chagaev was champion in recess at the time but got stripped completely after that and Valuev was outrightly given the WBA title. Valuev is a Sauerland promoted fighter. It was a Sauerland promoted event....... just saying

hahahaha Haye fucking ducked Chagaev as well. what an absolute joker! it was Haye's camp who raised concerns over his hepatitis b which, as already has been rightly said, can be vaccinated against. it's like having a measles jab when you're a kid. Haye is all smoke and mirrors

#2 Denis Boytsov
#3 Alexander Povetkin
#4 Alexander Ustinov
#5 Hasim Rahman
#6 Valuev
#7 Alexander Dimitrenko
#8 Jean Marc Mormeck
#9 Kali Meehan
#10 Tomasz Adamek

My guess is Povetkin will get the shot since Saurland still have options left on Haye.

Chageav vs Boytsov for the regular trinket.

Well I wouldnt mind seeing Haye vs Arreola. Fat boy can take a punch and could certainly put Haye on his ass and make his stay down.

Those are the worse rankings I've seen outside WBC rankings. Where's Vitali? Where's Wlad?

And Boytsov should be out of the rankings. His hand's fucked up, and he won't be back for a while.

The ABC's don't recognize the "champions" of other organizations.

I know that, just pointing out what a disgrace it is. Two best HWs and not even in their joke rankings.

Why the fuck the networks, media, ect credit these joke originizations is beyond me.

Maybe Ali right, and paying these guys off.

I don't have issues with the org's not ranking other champions, that way top ten contenders can become mandatories.

ali your wrong..first mandatories are a joke and its mostly a fighter if mandatories were legit did not warrant a madtory..just look at the severall over the years...second and most important if a orginazation recognizes a fighter as a champ then all the rest of the fighters in the world are contenders are they not...i dont think you realize it but by recognizing phoney manditories and they are phoney and by sayings its ok for a org to not rank pac berto wlad vitali haye etc etc means you approve of theses orginazations and endorse there actions for the rankings manatories and there phoney title is the only way they stay in business because theres fees involved..in the rankings the fee is called a bribe.the others are a legit bribe called a sanctioning fee.
