And when specifically was American great? During Bush Jr.? Clinton? Bush Sr.? Reagan? Carter? Ford? What made it so?

I'm not going to go into detail but I see both Obama and Hillary as part of a failed liberal/socialist experiment. Neither one of them represents me or my interests, and as far as i'm concerned they're an embarrassment to the United States, who need to be unceremoniously dumped from their positions of power in November.

America has been great at other times in it's History, but it was at it's absolute peak and/or prime in the 20 years or so following WWII, since then it's gradually gone down hill. The U.S. has become a welfare state, disintegrating from within, with many of it's major cities turning into drug and crime filled sewers.

This may not be the answer you wanted Gumby, but it's all I feel like coming up with at the moment.

anotherwords a statement is made about clintons non qualifications that is opposite of what many say and we have to take it as valid because it conflicts with one mans unknown interests..clinton first is very educated lawyer who graduated with honors.second as first lady for 8 years she wasnt passive non involved like bess truman or servered cookies and milk like others.she was a hands on unoffical adviser much like nancy reagon or elenor roosevelt.meeting world leaders often and talking with his husband privetly offering her thoughts.8 or so years as a active leader hard working in the us senate with a interest in foreign policy..shes respected by world leaders by friend and foe as extremly capable and a strong secretrary of state.almost every news pundit acclaim her as a excellent secretary of state as well as many republican office holders who are not extreme right wing acknowledge her capabilites as more then adaquate.
she has brought intergrity to the office and unlike general powell has never looked like a fool publicly.nor like a puppet.
she has been very firm when needed as well as personable and likeable and genuine.
lets see a woman that is strong thats a leader that can more then hold her own in any mans job or world is called a power hungry feminest.yet a man with the same strong leadership attributes is called a statesmen.
of course doesnt hillary and all women know there job is in the home baking cookies and mending clothes.how dare the weaker sex take front stage in world events.no matter how capable nor how solid your background is your not qualified...of course this independent reasearch and outlandish statements comes from most likely the well informed and always politicaly correct monthly meetings from the white sheet boys from east texas called the KKK.there position on gays so called liberals woman people of a certain race or religious backgound etc etc are the same as rings.language and all.
gumby beware of folks that wave the flag shout out patriotism exclaim true democratic values and rightiousness etc etc for there true actions and words in the final result are the most undemocratic folks in this nation.of course there are rights in a society such as ours but theses rights are only for certain kind of people that meet the critera of theses special folks only..hillary should know her place.

Damn. I wish I'd read Ring's response before he quit. I genuinely want to know the details of his beef with Obama and Clinton and what made the 60s so great. Anyone have any ideas? I'm being legit, I don't have his perspective at all and wonder how people come about it.

Fear and ignorance. People like that are scared of what they don't know. Instead of learning or educating themselves on the subject they lash out and write things off, it's much easier to do that than actually learning about someone or something. That guy had a very "everyone's against me" attitude. With all that said, I hope he's reading this, hey Ring FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
