Mayweather vs. Cotto 24/7
HBO’s Emmy-Award®-winning reality series ‘24/7’ is returning to CNN, which will air replays of the all-new four-part series 24/7 MAYWEATHER/COTTO, beginning Saturday, April 14 at midnight ET/PT.
In the lead-up to the blockbuster HBO Pay-Per-View® telecast on May 5 in Las Vegas when Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Cotto battle for Cotto’s world super welterweight title, CNN will present all four episodes of 24/7 MAYWEATHER/COTTO, the all-access, behind-the-scenes pass that allows viewers to step into the lives of the fighters before they step into the ring. Mayweather lives and trains in Las Vegas, NV, while Puerto Rico’s Cotto will train in Florida.
35-year-old Floyd Mayweather (42-0, 26 KOs) is a celebrated superstar making his sixth appearance on the ‘24/7’ series. Cotto, 31, (37-2, 30 KOs) has reinvigorated his career by capturing the super welterweight title and successfully defending it twice in 2011. This is Cotto’s third appearance on ‘24/7.’
Episode one will air on CNN on Saturday, April 14 at midnight ET/PT, following the HBO premiere at 9:45 p.m. ET/PT. Episode two and three will air on CNN on subsequent Saturdays – April 21 (12 midnight ET/PT) and 28 (12 midnight ET/PT). The finale will air on CNN on Friday, May 4 at 12 midnight ET/PT, less than 24 hours before the mega-fight in Las Vegas.
In the past four years, HBO’s 24/7 franchise has earned 14 Sports Emmys® for production excellence, making it the most honored sports series on television since its inception. Narrated by Liev Schreiber, the fast-moving, documentary-styled production focuses on the training, commitment and sacrifices that prizefighters make in order to realize their dreams. The turnaround time is among the quickest in television as the series follows the fighters and their teams both at camp and at home as excitement and anxiety builds for the big fight.

I actually enjoyed it.
Melissa Cotto continues to arouse me, yeah she's nothing special but I like her.
50 Cent and Floyd are becomingly awfully close, Ellorbe's rubbing down the muscles position seems to be under threat.

Floyd has hit the supreme level of cockiness. His heads so big it looks like its going to explode very soon. For some reason Leonard Ellerbe and the whole mayweather camp just seem like a bunch of divas.

I'm sick of 24/7 with Floyd, Cotto, Pac, or Marquez. That seems like all we get. It isn't that interesting anymore.

Yup! Money, Power , Respect! Money Team! I know PBF has played it up to the camera's in all of the 24/7 he has been a part of, but he seems extra fake now with this whole money team bullshit! That is all you will hear the next 3 episodes is MONEY TEAM! Cotto is boring as hell and this should have just been a Countdown show of 30 mins and replay some old Mayweather and Cotto fights on HBO1 in HD every Sunday till fight night! IMO

Re: Mayweather vs. Cotto 24/7
this is a complete waste of time and money.this show will help sell zero tickets its that bad..cotto and his trainer in the park doing that pitty pat slow motion stuff is a joke.thats training.what the fuck is that trainer and his notebook gonna learn from that bullshit..basilio marciano patterson and all other extremly hard dedicated fighters would laugh at that shit..cotto sleeping in bed with a guy so he can what wake up on time..disgusting..id did like what floyd said about loyalty and gave the example of he and roger...
one of the things i did learn is that floyd for sure will beat manny pac 20 out of 20 times on the basketball court...i see no confidence in cottos face or actions at all.
.if this is what 24-7 gives us then please do no more shows at all..its a joke.

I only watched part of the first and second episodes. Horrific. The worst 24/7 so far. Cotto has zero personality. Mayweather talking about the same shit as always.
I bet the ratings for it are horrific.

Mayweather Apologizes, Frustrated With Recent 24/7
There is a pretty heavy buzz surrounding this Saturday’s junior middleweight title bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and WBA champion Miguel Cotto, set to go down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on HBO pay-per-view.
And while the fight will likely serve as the biggest event this year, the undefeated Mayweather seems less than enthused with how HBO’s acclaimed 24/7 series has been portraying him in camp. The Emmy Award-winning series sets the standard when it comes to giving viewers an inside look at selected fighters in preparation for their upcoming contests, yet Mayweather couldn’t stop himself from venting his frustration after seeing the third 24/7 Mayweather-Cotto episode last night.
Speaking to his legion of followers on Facebook and Twitter, Floyd issued the following.
“I want to apologize to all my fans and viewers who watched 24/7 last night. I wasn't pleased with this week’s episode of 24/7. Me and my film team are providing Bentley Weiner with exciting content which she is not using. We really needed the producers from Mayweather-Hatton 24/7 to come back to HBO give the fans and viewers more excitement.”
True enough, last night’s episode wasn’t too captivating, yet there will likely be a strong finish with Friday night’s showcase given the anticipation for the Mayweather-Cotto fight.

Re: Mayweather vs. Cotto 24/7
This 24/7 is one of the best so far!! We get to see the Money Team in action, No Sparring, Ass grabbing buy Cotto and his "friend", Mayweather eating fast food, and a tame Roger Mayweather who also took a nap for us! Can we please at least get more Miss Jackson and I guess Mrs. Cotto in the last episode!

Dmare, you ever read "The Last Great Fight?" Great book on what went on during Tyson-Douglas fight and how it was the begening to the end of boxing being a mainstream sport.
Anyway, there's a great part where Tyson is watching Faces of Death right before he's suppose to be interviewed.

the most interesting 24/7 would be seeing Floyd in a little jail cell. That might actually have some entertainment value.

very true. very true.
hopefully Floyd has someone looking after him Allen Iverson style. Iverson isn't broke because someone on his team (financial advisor, accountant, or lawyer) had 30 million set aside in a trust. Iverson gets a million or so a year until he turns 55 or something like that. Basically his team set it up so Iverson couldn't spend himself into oblivion!!!
Hope Floyd has someone in his team that took/will take 15-20 million away from him and locks it up in a similar fashion.

Given Floyd's past record with the IRS the future doesn't look bright.
If he wasn't such a jackass to HBO I am sure they'd have be happy to give Floyd a job behind the mic.
But then they did bring back Roy so perhaps there might be a future job IF he wants one.
