I just want him to admit that De Leon beat his ass.

Broner looked good, but Kellerman hit the nail on the head - there's nobody at 130 at all.

He doesn't seem to have trouble making weight. He can clean out the division and become the man at 135 some day. I think he would already be a top fighter at 135.Tobe wrote:Broner looked good, but Kellerman hit the nail on the head - there's nobody at 130 at all.

yes he would be ranked in the top 5. But I think Rios grinds him down. Guererro (prior to his now jumping 2 weight classes to 147) would have been a difficult fight as well. His length would have given Broner alot of trouble.
Of course Rios is going to move up, Guerrero is moving up, Marquez has moved.
man 130 and 135 are going to be lacking a little bit.

Maidana looks much more relaxed. I bet Alexander comes out fast and tight. Could end early.

Re: Broner/Perez, Alexander/Maidana unofficial thread
hope I'm wrong, as I'm rooting for Maidana, but Alexander should be able to box Maidana's ears off.
Who did Alexander struggle with? Kotelnik-counter punched with straight accurate shots. Bradley-pretty good boxer. Matthyse-despite what anyone tells you, he is not just a puncher. Matthyse has decent technique.
Maidana-shots are not as quick as any of those 3 guys. His shots are wider than them as well.
Hope I am wrong!!!!! War Maidana.

very good for Maidana that Smoger is in there. Smoger will let fighters work in close.

Alexander is definitely tight. He looks much stronger at 147 though. Maidana is in chill mode though. He's not phased by the hand speed difference at all. This fight should get interesting late.

Yeah, Maidana adjusted to the handspeed difference against Khan. And Khan's handspeed is pretty darn good.

I have turned the volume off. Alexander is landing shots, but Roy Jones said good shot on a punch that hit Maidana's glove. Papa said Alexander scored about 10 seconds later, and that punch didn't land either.

wow, Lederman is complaining about Alexander's holding already. he says Alexander lands a shot and hold. He gets hit, he holds. He says that is Alexander's only defense.

early in round 3, Alexander looks a little skittish. maidana seems to have Alexander a bit worried.

Alexander cut on the right eye. That could help Maidana as this goes on.

There is a reason Alexander's team didn't want a 12 round fight.
This is interesting. Either guy could get KO'd in this one!!!

Alexander is not very good. He looks like he's slap boxing. He never looks comfortable in there.

I'm not sure who I score that for but Maidana is starting to turn it into an ugly fight. He landed a big right in the middle of that round. Alexander is taking much better at 147 (or Maidana doesn't punch the same).

Re: Broner/Perez, Alexander/Maidana unofficial thread
I thought Maidana won round 3, but it was even to me. I'm sure the official judges have it 3-0 as they aren't going to give Maidana any close round.
Maidana needs to land to that eye. Cut for Alexander was caused by a punch.

He is not comfortable getting hit, he cuts and it bothers him badly. He can't ignore it. He leads with his right eye and rests it on his opponents head priming himself for a cut. Not a smart fighter.
