HBO once again lack Promotion for Martinez-Dzinzurik
The website has a mere three features attached to this fight.
Perhaps we would have enjoyed seeing more footage of Dzinzurik, considering he’s completely unknown and HBO supposedly insisted on him as Sergio’s opponent.
24/7 made Floyd Mayweather a star. Sergio can’t even get a new Bio piece; they recycled the one from six months ago before the Williams fight. Presumably, one will air on the broadcast. Still, nothing is on the website yet, and we're approaching 48 hours to opening bell.
The second clip is 77 seconds (1:17!) of Roy Jones and Max Kellerman looking forward to the fight. Did you guys have somewhere to be? Can we get a five-minute breakdown here?
So, in total, you get three clips related to Martinez-Dzinzurik.
Showtime takes it to another level in their promotion and coverage of the Cotto fight online. They offer press conference clips, interviews and fighter background videos. They also aired a half-hour special on the network (which was actually rather dull, in my opinion, considering how flamboyant Mayorga can be).
Now, I understand it is PPV, so the incentive to promote is much greater. But look at the online coverage of the Super Six tourney, and you will realize this is not an isolated occurrence.

Steve Kim taking shots at Shaw on twitter

-With the deal made for him by his promoters, Dzinziruk has been made to eat at the Foxwoods employees cafeteria all week, I'm told
-Don't know about you, but I find that completely disrespectful for a guy who has his own title, fighting for the midd title on HBO
-And for the record, I'm told his co-TV packagers are making around 200-grand for basically doing nothing on this promotion
-But I'm sure Artie Pellulo and Gary Shaw r eating quite well, while their guy who is fighting is in the Foxwoods employee loungee

Gary Shaw without a doubt is the worse "promoter" in boxing. He can't even be called a promoter, since he doesn't promote shit. Or even knows how to actualy promote

he seems to get some great talent in his stable, and then completely wastes that opportunity by not promoting them.
why the hell do the bosses at HBO need to do an investigation into HBO's boxing program to have to realise that the people they are letting run it are totally incompetent. all these problems are directly caused by Greenburg's own fucking arrogance and lack of regard for the Sport. he has been single handedly fucking up our beloved art of choice for the last 5 years

Dibella is no better than Shaw. 973 tickets sold for the Berto-Quintana fight is a disgrace.
