AM boxing is why there's a lack of boxers that can punch
I was just reading about article on James DeGale, and after getting booed during first fight, changed his style. He stated he learned how throw hips into a punch, turn his wrists, ect.
What sad is DeGale was decorated AM boxer.
We saw how in aww Bradley was when Hearns was showing him how to turn his wrists when punching.
Look at Donaire, and he had 76 AM fights, so wasn't completly ruined. Compared to Bradley, who had 145 AM fights.
Cloud at 54 AM fights, and can bet why he throws punches with bad intention.
Madiana didn't have extensive AM career, stating he knew style was more suited for pros, and so went pro at 20 years old.
