Antonio Tarver calls out David Haye

Former light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver (28-6, 19KOs), who is now a heavyweight contender, has called out WBA champion David Haye (25-1, 23KOs). Tarver sent a personal message to Haye, making a direct challenge for an April fight. The British boxer is searching for an opponent after his negotiations fell apart for a fight with IBO/IBF/WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko.

"David Haye, it's Antonio Tarver. I hear you got some free time on your hands since you and Wladimir Klitschko had to push back. How about you and I get a date around April you can call it your U.S. debut. It's the biggest fight you can make [with a name] that don't end in Klitschko," wrote Tarver.

Tarver thinks Haye is there for the taking. He says his boxing ability will expose Haye. Tarver made his heavyweight debut, at 221-pounds, against Nagy Aguilera last October. If Tarver wants any chance against Haye, he needs to slim down. He didn't carry the weight well and his ten round decision over Aguilera was sluggish at best. For example, Haye was a ripped 210.5-pounds for his November TKO win over Audley Harrison.

"He's vulnerable and I will expose him I'm not saying it won't be a great fight but I'm confident my boxing ability will be something he'll have a lot of problems with."

Win Win if either guy loses. If Haye loses he's a bum and his mouth will be shut forever. If Tarver loses, well, it's just always nice to see Tarver lose.

It would be nice to see Tarver retired, he needs to realize he's doing a great job behind the mic.

Just the type of fight Haye would be interested in. Booth is probably working the phone lines as we speak.

haha this is the sad reality of it. Tarver was a good light heavyweight at best, he's never been anything special though. He got Jones at the right time which sometimes in the sport is the kind of lucky break a fighter needs
