its alright i guess
best of a bad situation IMO. keeps him busy and it's all experience. there are some great fights around 168 and 175 when the super 6 is finally done
except he turned down a multi million dollar superfight with Pascal that he could have been fighting about now...

and you call yourself a fight fan??? Magee is actually a pretty decent and seasoned fighter. he got crushingly KO'd by Carl Froch in the 11th round of a battle, typical Froch fashion. watch the KO punch it was a "put you to sleep" shot. Magee has been on a good run of fights though, having to travel to German fighter's backyards and KO them to keep his career going. he deserves a decent payday but ultimately i don't think he has enough to worry Bute
I don't pay attention to the domestic scene, it's not very exciting.

lol I knew that just came out wrong. I meant they are all better opponents than the guy hes now facing. I just thought they would have put Bute against Dirrell ASAP. What a damn shame!Tobe wrote:Diego408 wrote:Allen Green, Librado Andrade or puss boy Dirrell should of been the likely opponents. Showtime is really paying him millions to take on guys like this?????
Green is done and Bute already beat Andrade twice. As for Dirrell who knows what he's doing.

Just saying guess, we know the real talent of the division is locked up in the tourney. I just thought they would of put Bute in some real match ups before he faces the winner of the tourney (which is why I believe they gave him so much cash to showcase his next few fights). While Ward-AA and Forch-Johnson went on I figured they would make Dirrell-Bute. Then the 2 finalistof the turney face off with the winner of Bute-Dirrell facing Kessler (who would be back by then) on the same night. The winner of the tourney (one of: AA, Ward, Froch and Johnson) vs the best of those 3 out of the tourney (one of: Kessler, Bute, Dirrell) would make it a huge money fight, but then again this is boxing, it never works this way.

allan Green is an inferior opponent to McGee, and is coming off of back to back ass kickings.
Bute has already beaten Andrade twice in the last 2 years.
Dirrell is a disgrace to boxing and is too busy faking a brain injury.
Interbox has made several offers to Stieglitz - he doesn't want any of it.
...not alot of choice.
Well said

I'd like to see Johnson v. Smith on that card if possible.

As if Dirrell would be in a hurry to fight Bute. If he did that he'd be exposed completely (although the fact that they didn't know Dr. Lawyerson's name and that his people were talking about fighting Ward "if the money's right" [total wtf] wasn't enough)..
That Stieglitz dude already wants none of Bute. The tried already. He probably doesn't want to lose his trinket and become part of a body shot highlight reel.
This is another reason why I hate this stupid undefeated crap. Too bad he didn't move up to fight Pascal. Risk is not too bad if you don't consider his undefeated record at stake. Massive pay day. Lose, so what? You lost to another domestic superstar. His fans forgave him for the first Andrade fight which he could have (should have in many's eyes) lost. If he put up a good fight against Pascal, even in defeat it will be okay. And if he won, fuckin light heavyweight champ! Didn't even have to go through the grain thresher.. it's right there to be lifted.
In boxing if you move up and take on the top dog and lose, it's not that bad unless you take a massive beating. And with their two styles even if Pascal wins I don't see Bute getting banged up like in the first Andrade fight. But not when people still put soo much on that 0.
I would like to see Bute in with one of the other super six fighters before he takes on the champ, whoever that will be. For now, he gets fed another stay busy fight.
