Re: Soccer thread
Well the deal to bring Tevez to Corinthians failed, as they couldn't pay the transfer fee (what team in Brazil could?). Man City need to unload this headcase ASAP.

Re: Soccer thread
He'd be perfect for Real Madrid as he works hard on the pitch and he and Ronaldo know each others games from Man Ure.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/938021/manchester-city-confirm-sergio-aguero-signing?cc=3436
Manchester City have confirmed they have finalised the deal with Atletico Madrid for the purchase of Argentina striker Sergio Aguero.
Aguero, 23, has signed a five-year contract, worth a reported £200,000 a week. No fee was confirmed by either club, but it is thought City have paid Atletico Madrid around £39 million for Aguero, eclipsing their previous high of £32.5 million for Brazil forward Robinho in August 2008.
He becomes manager Roberto Mancini's third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Arsenal defender Gael Clichy and Partizan Belgrade's Stefan Savic.
A statement on the Manchester City website read: ''Sergio Aguero has become Manchester City's latest signing after the terms of his five-year-contract were completed today.
''The 23-year-old Argentinian international striker has moved to the Blues from Atletico Madrid, and is likely to be in the squad for this weekend's Dublin Super Cup tournament. He will wear the No. 16 shirt.''
Meanwhile, Argentina great Ossie Ardiles believes Aguero will be a ''wonderful'' addition to the club.
''He is quick, he is sharp and clever,'' Ardiles told BBC Sport. ''He can play as a lone striker, he can play with another guy and can come back and create things. He is very sharp. You give him one yard and this is it, he is gone. His vision is to score goals. If he has a little chance the ball will be in the net.
''I have no doubt whatsoever that he will be wonderful in the Premier League.''
Aguero has been brought in to replace compatriot Carlos Tevez, who wants to leave to be closer to his wife and two daughters back in Argentina.

USA Soccer FINALLY axes Bradley
http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/07/28/u-s-mens-soccer-coach-bradley-fired/?hpt=hp_t2
Trouble is, I don't see any other suitable replacements, U.S team will never be a job the big time coaches want.

Yes and I'm sure they had him in mind as a serious candidate when they pulled the trigger on Bradley.

Re: Soccer thread
The U.S has tried twice to get him, back in '06 and again last year after the World Cup. Hopefully third times the charm.
