RVP would've had a hatrick.

he definitely would have put away the one Giroud botched.

Looks like either Man City or Chelsea for the title.

Re: Soccer thread
wow, does QPR call that defense. That first goal scored on them was a joke.

USA better win. I'm not sure it's a good idea to bench Altidore when Donovan will be out.

that was an ugly win. 2 johnson headers but kind of blah the rest and having to get 1 that late to win (even on the road) is a joke.
lets be honest. I think the US has more overall depth, but that depth is good to stick into spots. We need Bradley, Donovan, and Dempsey all playing and at a very high level. When we are missing any of them and/or they aren't playing at a high level, we are lackluster.

I will reserve judgment about the offensive play until we have bradley, dempsey, and donovan all in the lineup together for a few games. As for the defensive play, it has been piss poor.
I am questioning his judgment in selecting the squad. Altidore is playing well in Holland and wasn't selected.

Well, we've gone on to the hex, but there was no excuse for the poor performance against A & B, even with most of the big stars out. Altidore should have been considered, despite his recent poor international performance. Hopefully we can pick up the pace next round, with tough teams in Mexico, Costa Rica and Hondouras.
