thats too bad. i wish that they would have just said yes to broner. i would give broner a ton of respect to take that fight on short notice.

The fight is off, Burns is leaving Warren. I wonder what this does to Burns-Broner? its probably not going to happen. Broner vs Garcia next? I hope

well is vasquez still able to fight on april 20th? they should just make that fight for that date if possible.

Vazquez was supposed to be hurt or sick (Viral infection), Burns got word that he wasn't ill and Warren was up to no good. This is the second fight in a row that Warren OK'd postponement and Burns got pissed. I don't blame Burns, sucks for us but I don't blame him.

Broner vs Vazquez is a better fight than Broner vs Burns or I should say the tougher fight for Broner. It would be great if Broner were to step in for that fight date. Vazquez just has a style to make a fight with anyone complicated. This guy went the distance with Bradley and Canelo. If Broner is able to Knock Him out, he will be making a huge statement.

Broner is headlining an HBO showcase June, 15th. HBO is foolishly expediting Broner's career and forcing him down our throats with shitty competition. Supposedly his team wants Malignaggi, and Paulie said if the offer is legit he'd gladly take the fight. A victory over Paulie would make Broner a belt holder at '47 and give him huge negotiating power at a popular weight class. He'd bypass the risks at '40 and those guys would have to move up to take his "Title" on his card. So, they're going the money route and Broner said that Vazquez isn't a name enough for him to contend with.

Let's see how this plays out.

it's confirmed that Broner vs Paulie is a done deal. What a terrible fight. Broner still fighting shit competition. I'm not sure if HBO knows this or not, but us fans hate fighters that take the easy way to the top. Broner should be fighting the wolves at Jr Welter, especially since he's now considered a top 10 P4P fighter. Rios, Matthysse, Peterson would make great fights with Broner, even Garcia may present a challenge to him. Broner would get so much positive support if he were to face those guys, but Al Haymon and HBO want to move him up like that. In the near Future we're going see Broner and Thurman face scrubs for millions of dollars per fight.

unfortunetly LM and peterson are fighting each other and lets all please forget a rios-broner fight for a haymon -golden boy guy vs a top rank fighter simply isnt gonna happen.broner is already fighting less then so so competion for millions.its been said he got 2 million in his last fight.kahn is slated to fight in england against woopie diaz.at 140 still is garcia and lopez.either fight id be ok with but lopez is also a haymon fighter.
im glad paulies gonna get a good payday if this goes down.a million plus.yes broner at 147 will not fight pac nor floyd or bradley.golden boy could offer him alexander or maidana and thats the best of there lot for broner.i think he beats maidana but i agree golden boy will alow cherrypicking for broner.maybe the will bring over the highly suspect english guys.

i like paulies style that he wants to sit down with showtime big wigs and get a ok from them if in fact the fights held at hbo.he respects the fact that they have been great with him and he says in no way does he want to jeperdize that relationship..i dont blame paulie for taking the fight because of the money but its politics again and cherrypicking..paulie cant break an egg with a hammer.i wish he could punch but if he did 5 to 1 golden boy doesnt make that fight.
im rooting for paulie to make a fool out of broner but thats unlikely since he cant punch..another con job fight given to the fans.why doesnt broner fight berto or victor ortiz.why.because they got a good punchers chance.

I think its dumb that Broner is skipping 140 and all the good fights there but a fight with Paulie sounds good to me. Paulie will be his toughest opponent so far and the first one that he won't dwarf. Hes going up twelve pounds. Thats not nothing. He could lose this one for sure imo.

...hes not in reality going up 12 pounds.ill bet fight night he weighs within a pound or two from paulie either way.this weight manipulation has got a lot of fans bullshitted.broner right now is a natural welterweight.

maybe its just bad timing to fight other guys. he was supposed to fight the winner of vasquez and burns but that fight fell through so if he stayed at lightweight for that fight to happen then he would have to fight another scrub anyways. LM and peterson are supposed to fight each other, rios is fighting alvarado, and garcia is fighting zab.

broner already has a fight scheduled for june and none of those guys will be ready to fight him in june. so maybe its not his fault, but maybe it is. he is a pretty active fighter to todays standards so im not too hard on him but i agree that the paulie fight could just be a ploy to get a trinket to be able to avoid other fighters or at least get more leverage. after the paulie fight though, he better fight one of the good guys at 140.
