Glen Johnson retires

i hope he has a good life after boxing. he over achieved for the talents he was given.

Pretty much just the right time for him.

definitely was time to go. His loss to Bute was wide. He lost to Fonfara who is not that good. I scored it 96-94 for Fonfara. I have no problem with the 97-93, but the 99-91 I question.

Memo to HBO, ESPN, Showtime, or NBCSports: Glencoe is quite articulate, is an engaging and colorful speaker, and has forgotten more about boxing than most guys know. Someone, anyone, please hire this guy and give him a microphone...

I would guess Johnson saved his money unlike someone like Roy Jones, who is shot and fighting because he is broke.

I'm a big Glen Johnson fan and I'll miss him. That said, I would've advised him to retire following his loss to Tavoris Cloud.

Glen had raw determination. I think he could've been competitive against most Light Heavys that I've seen in my life time.
