Jr is so goofy.

I'm looking forward to this fight and I hope it isn't called off by way of steroids. If it's not, I have Sergio in 9. I just think he's a better fighter than Chavez. If Chavez does manage to win the fight, it will propel him into superstar status.

Martinez is funny. His English isn't bad as well. Watched parts of the press conference which is on Top Rank's website. Sergio spoke in English for a minute and then went to Spanish. He was talking shit in a good natured way.

Chavez will KO Martinez within 9 rounds. Sergio is a good fighter out of his weight class. A junior middle will be fighting a cruiser.

Yup. Chavez looks HUGE in those pictures, you can tell he walks around at Cruiser or bigger. I like Martinez and would love to see him win here, but it's a really significant size difference; both reach and weight.

Martinez will shred Jr up like he did Pavlik, Sergei D, Barker, Macklin, Williams, etc

Yup he looks really cocky too. Hes someone who I think would really benefit from a good embarrassing knockout. Might humble him and make him a better person.

I think the argument could be made that Sergio is the best in the world right now pound for pound. But, this is a bad match-up for him. Jr. is just too damned big and has too much of a chin for this to have a happy ending for Martinez. Couple that with the fact that the one thing he does really well- go to the body- is exactly the kryptonite Martinez doesn't want any part of and you have all the makings of an "upset".

Chavez jr. in 8 to 10 rounds by stoppage.

Martinez has been starting slow lately, Jr could take advantage early with those nasty body shots.

I believe Martinez will win. 1- His feet are so much better than the guys that Chavez has been facing. Martinez will be able to get off and move. 2-Martinez KO'd Cintron. He put PW down. He KO'd PW in the rematch. He KO'd Barker. He KO'd Macklin. Does Chavez Jr. have a very good chin? yes. Will it be tested by facing a guy that can throw shots that he won't see coming? Yes.

martinez no doubt is the far better fighter no matter what happens.chavez can do 2 things to win this fight.1.body work.hard punching body work2.time martinez .the last 2 fights he noticably leans in after tossing his left open for a serious right hand counter punch.add mucle the smaller guy in clinches..matinez has to use his legs hand speed and angles.rapid punches and movement in different directions.he cannot come straight in.
its will be a good fight.

as long as bum jr uses his designer diuretics, can make weight, and blow up to 180 or 185 and not be damaged by it, he has a shot.

they are fighting in vegas(and not Texas), but I think his team finds a way.
