N.Y still won't put MMA up for vote

Simple. Sheldon Silver, Speaker of the Assembly. He's weilds a lot of power, and he hates MMA. He's a extreme liberal, and they don't like boxing or MMA or any kind of "manly" thing. But since boxing been in New York forever, they can't get rid of it. But he can prevent MMA from coming. He wouldn't even allow it to be voted on.

Republican Assemblyman Dean Murray, who's a minority since New York is run by liberal, has been pushing for a vote.

Pretty much what Grant said. Dana has publicly blamed it on the Culinary Workers union, who have been in opposition to MMA in the state, largely due to the Fertettia Bros. casino biz not allowing union employees.

Pretty much until Silver is gone, it's not going to happen. And he's not going anywhere, anytime soon.
