Mitchell's legs were dead in the final 80 seconds of that round. If Spoon went to the body, he would have ended it.

mitchell is a mean SOB and mentally strong.

He is a beast but definitely not ready for the Klits yet. Witherspoon had a great chance if he could stick to the boxing gameplan the whole night.

if spoon had gone downstairs in round one it would have taken all the strength from mitchell. Mitchell looked horrible in final minute of round 1.

It was a pretty good fight. Mitchell seems like a pretty good contender to keep an eye on. I'd love to see him vs Arreola. That would be entertaining.

Yeah, he needs to sharpen his defense before he fights a Klit. He can't take those kind of shots against a Klit and not get KO'd.

he needs to work on defense before he faces Arreola. It would be entertaining nonetheless. I would prefer that they keep Mitchell in the gym and looks to face a fighter of Arreola's level 9-12 months down the road.

Mitchell is gonna be a fun fighter to watch. He was stepping up tonight and he did pretty well. He got hurt, he didnt panic and got some good experience on toughing it out AND he has the question answered for HIMSELF on how he will/would handle it. He needs a few more fights at the contender level to work on his technique and skills, but he does not have the time to do that over years. He needs to stay busy and take his shot within the next 24 months.
As Jim pointed out ad naseum, Mitchell stayed true to the body shots, even when in trouble, and it paid off big. IF he bangs the body like that in all his fights, he will be ready to knock Crisco Ball Arreola out of the division for us so we dont have to watch that fat slob anymore.

Witherspoon isn't a big puncher compared to the top 10 guys.
the last opponent (name escapes me) landed a couple of big right hands on Mitchell as well.

Both guys landed straight right hands. Mitchell's natural physicality and mental strength has gotten him this far. If he wants to go up the ladder and beat better fighters, he has to improve his defense.

if his team is smart they wait until Arreola has taken a 2nd pounding from a Klitschko before taking Arreola on. Right now, Arreola probably goes through Mitchell with straight right hands.

sure to have less action if it goes 12 rounds, than the previous fight did in 3 rounds.

no idea who to root for.

If BHOP loses and it is clear, probably final fight for BHOP.

Dawson looks genuinely pissed off. He doesn't like BHOP.

2 rounds and these guys have landed something like 22 punches total combined. And most of those punches aren't impressive.
