I do agree with one paragraph though.

Without veering into a lengthy UFC vs. boxing tangent, it's really no mystery why MMA is rising in popularity while boxing struggles to remain relevant. The issue isn't the respective merits of the two sports. Instead, it's about the way in which they're conducted, and the people doing the conducting. Boxing has no unified governing body to make sure the best fights happen. The fighters and promoters are on their own to argue about dates and opponents and purses. There's good and bad in that. But from a fan's perspective, the UFC is a far simpler operation. It has a clear-cut organization that sets fights between the best competitors regardless of their demands or desires. You can argue all you want about the fairness of the fighters' purses in UFC, but there's no debate about the matchups.

we have heard this song before and frankly its a broken record.25-35 years from now there will still be boxing.mma ufc or whatever you want to call them will be dead and buried.the author of course downplays the mma fighters money.fact is if thoses glass jaw guys are so good so talented then they should wake up and leave mma for boxing.why.money.money does come with the glory most of the time.lets see pac floyd the 2 K brothers cotto marquez haye have made more money in one fight then ALL the entire ufc fighters combined did last year.in one fight folks..yes boxings glory days are behind but non the less its at its low ebb and will not get lower.
mr author by the way boxing has made several; excellent matchups the last year like the bantam and 168 pound tourney as well as a bute-ward fight in the wings.there are what 5000 fighters today vs what 350 ufc fighters.great matchups between what.a so called monster like brock had what 8 fights became champ and got his ass kicked twice all in 8 fights.the so called greatest of them all fedor got koed with a slap.the guys on his back tosses a punch no leverage no velocity no body behind it no snap and kos the great one.
ufc is like a scriped reality show.great matchups with fighters that have 10-12 fights .run out of gas in the third round or they take turns getting koed.this is stardom.thats greatness.
look the ufc mma has its fan base.so does fake wressling.so does boxing.for a dead sport im wondering how fighters can make 10-20-30 million a fight and a million is considered chump change by some top fighters.
yes lets have so called complete dictaorship like ufc.and after 5 fights declare somebody a star.match him up with another 10 fight star.make believe stars that get koed with the first punch.great matches indeed.
plenty of us REAL boxing fans are tired of reading boxing is dead by a author who knows shit about boxing.again roger ty..put this article where it belongs.in the mma cheerleading section of this forum.
some of the smaller guy6s do have basic uporight fighting abilty.to them id say get out of there and if you think you can be good go to boxing.make money guys.thats if you can take a punch.
boxing yes was a top sport but there was no nba at all or then its infancy.its now a full blown popular sport.pro football took of in 1956 but it took years to get it as the top sport.that took some away from boxing perhaps.
tv has taken advantage of this fad.how many times have we seen a top so called star get koed with the first punch in mma..a lot.

I LOVE that picture.

As for the "Boxing is Dead" article, that's the 2nd time that writer has posted an article on that topic within 2 weeks. I think he might be getting paid under the table.
