What next for Canelo

Fat Dan sums it up pretty well as far as Alverez calling out Mayweather:

If Canelo is being matched the way he is right now because "he's not ready" for top 154s, he sure as heck isn't ready for Mayweather.

If Canelo wants to prove self at 154 (in no order): Cotto-Margs winner, Dzinziruk, Lara, Williams,Trout,Martirosyan,Bundrage,Molina,Kirkland

He should show up at the Cotto-Margarito fight, get his name mentioned and look unimpressed. Maybe do a post-fight analysis for one of the Spanish networks.

I'd like to see him face someone like K9.

I got to throw in the best title from the Cintron fight:

A bout with a top 10 JR MIDDLE would be nice! A K9 or the winner of the Wolak fight, Kirkland is out there and now Molina has made some noise in the division! He is not ready for PBF at this moment or any moment!

I'm with Gumby, he should be at the Cotto-Margs fight and pull a Shane Mosley and call the winner out.

If Cotto wins the fight Canelo should be next but it gets tricky when it's a GBP fighter and a Top Rank fighter. Personally I think that Carlos Molina or Bundrage is the best option and easiest fight to be made right now for Canelo.

Only way Cotto fights Canelo is if he leaves Top Rank after the Margarito fight. Bob would put Cotto in with Chavez Jr before having him be a stepping stone for Canelo.
