Vitali-Haye possible for March 3
Vitali Klitschko could meet former David Haye on March 3 at The ESPIRIT Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany, according to a source familiar with the negotiations. This corroborates statements given by the 31-year-old Haye to RingTV.com in September.
On his birthday on Oct. 13, Haye fulfilled his long-standing promise to retire from boxing by the time that he turned 31.
At that time, Haye denied any further negotiations about a fight with either Vitali Klitschko or his 35-year-old sibling, Wladimir Klitschko (56-3, 49 KOs), citing insufficient offers from the opposition.
Likewise, the Klitschko camp put an end to any speculation that talks were taking place.
But that has apparently changed for Haye, a winner of 15 straight bouts,13 of them by knockout before losing a decision to Wladimir Klitschko in July.
Vitali Klitschko is coming off a 10th-round knockout of Tomasz Adamek (43-2, 28 KOs) on Sept. 10, and is riding an 11-fight winning streak that includes nine stoppages.
The London Telegraph has also reported the possibility.

Re: Vitali-Haye possible for March 3
David Haye's manager and trainer, Adam Booth has confirmed a contract to fight WBC heavyweight titleholder Vitali Klitschko early next year, in Dusseldorf, Germany, is on the table and under consideration.
"We have received a contract to fight Vitali Klitschko and our lawyers are looking at the details of what has been offered, " said Hayemaker co-owner Booth in The Sun newspaper.
That news follows former WBA champ Haye's decision to lower his pay demands and accept less than a 50-50 split of the fight revenue.
Should the Englishman, 31, accept the terms being offered by the elder of the Klitschko brothers, then Saturday, March 3, appears to be the likely date for the showdown.
