Michael knocked out his can in three rounds.

Any of the Aussie's catch it ?

Interestingly the fight was at 140lbs, wonder if Kat is ready to move up.

Strange, it's almost like Katsidis is the Carl Froch of Australia. Poor management is my guess, Michael should hire who ever gets Green on tv.

Green and Mundine are the biggest names in boxing here by a large margin. 3rd would be Vic Darchinyan followed by Daniel Geale and Billy Dib. Michael Katsidis is 6th which is a crying shame.

The sad thing is he deserves to be our number 1 fighter yet the casual fan probably has no idea who he is.

first beg to disagree freak,kat's better known than dib easily & among the fight community more respected than mundine,green.only geale rivals his fight cred among those involved with boxing.kat did say during the week,if he can carry his punch he'll fight at JW & is aiming fpr bout with morales,but a;so wouldn't say no to knocking casamayor out.think he still lives with regret.the guy he fought came to the ring looking like the michelin man.seemed like he accepted his role as sacrifical lamb & either didn't train or trained at the buffet.
as an aside the people who get mundine & green their publicity here are.... mundine & green,they both promote their fights.rumours here are green paid tarver $1.5 mill & still made $1 mill as promoter

I was talking about the fans not the boxing community. There was hardly any talk in the media at all about the Katsidis fight and I didn't see him on any show promoting it. Green, Mundine and Dib are everywhere before a fight. There are a lot of people that only watch the bigger fights here in Australia and hardly any of them have heard of him.

you should listen to bsb(big sports breakfast),they always have kat on before his fights.you can't really believe that kat's fight with jmm got less publicity than any of dib's fights?!?! that was on all free to air channels,exposure dib can only dream of so far.

Dib's last fight was advertised everywhere. He was even on the footy show. Kat's fight still hasn't made the fox sports web page.

What is the name of that sports show? Does it have a podcast that can be downloaded on ITunes? ARe there any Australian boxing radio shows that can be downloaded anywhere?

As a huge fan of the UK, I love Steve Bunce's boxing hour.

freak as i said before kat's fight against jmm was not only on all free to air but radio.of course dib's last fight(world title)got more press than kat's tuneup last night but the jmm exposure before & after far outweighed dib's
