Arreola to fight again this month

Coming off an impressive three round stoppage over Nagy Aguilera, Heavyweight contender Chris "The Nightmare" Arreola, will take a small break then return to action May 27th on ESPN's Friday Night Fights. Arreola's trainer, Henry Ramirez, advises BoxingScene.com that his opponent will more than likely be Kendrick Releford.


At least he is trying now. He probably won't ever beat either Klit or Haye, but he can make for some decent fights against guys like Povetkin, Dimitrenko, Chambers, etc...

We'll see if he stays at the same weight. Hopefully he sheds some more blub and get's down to 220

yeah, but I'd settle for mid 230s if his team would get him a fight versus a fellow top 10 guy who isn't named Vitali, Wlad, or Haye. Most of the rest of the top 10 guys don't want to face anyone remotely decent while they wait for their turn at the lotto (beatdown by the beltholders).

at least he is staying active unlike most fighters

Good for him, I am glad he's finally took everyone's advice about the weight. Now if Arreola could just work on moving his head and avoiding more shots he'd be back in the mix.
