McCloskey looks much less muscular than Kahn.

Kahn looks a bit jittery in the first round.

For people who've seen it, please don't give away the fight ending.

McCloskey is awkward. Hands low. Southpaw.

Khan's not catching him clean. He should consider the body. That counter left is open though.

Round 1 10-9 Kahn
Kahn won the round easily, but the round was herky jerky. McCloskey hands low, moving. Khan not really settled in. Not consistent with the jab. Kahn jumping in to land punches.

I know that was the opening round, but Khan seems very jittery and anxious. Not relaxed. He seemed more relaxed against Maidana early.

Is McCloskey going to do more than just be a pain in the ass to fight?

Khan won round 2. McCloskey landed maybe 6 punches in 3 mins.

Khan's starting to find his target. And it looks like it's relaxed him.

McCloskey takes small stutter steps backwards. He paws with his jab. Small stutter steps back, just daring you to try to reach and miss. A pain in the ass to fight.
McCloskey's best punch landed thus far a reaching left hand with 1:20 left in round 3. Kahn still doing alot more than McCloskey.

HBO's crew is saying McCloskey is very relaxed in the ring. That is true, he isn't tense and he rolls and takes punches well.
At the same time, he isn't trying to mount nearly enough offense to win a single round. No sense of offensive urgency whatsoever.
Khan up 4-0 after 4 rounds.

Re: HBO-Khan vs McCloskey, Berto vs Ortiz
I'm not sure the McCloskey can do anything with Khan. Khan just started doing his lift his hands up in the air thing so he may be losing his focus or tiring some, but I don't see anything happening.

Re: HBO-Khan vs McCloskey, Berto vs Ortiz
Khan 61 punches thrown per round after 4 roundss (compubox). 30 for McCloskey. You can't win a fight throwing half the punches of an opponent. Even if you land cleanly when you throw (which McCloskey isn't landing very cleanly), you still lose rounds throwing so few shots.

Kahn did a little damage on McCloskey around 80 to 95 seconds into round 6.
Headbutt with 1:05 left in round 6.

Doctor stops it. Was McCloskey saying stop it, or was he saying he wanted to fight???

That's disappointing. Great flurry by Khan towards the end though. He really made those punches count. Loved the left hook to the body.

Kahn didn't seem happy the fight ended that way. De la Hoya seemed to be telling him, he won, don't worry about it.
McCloskey says Kahn was tiring. What the hell. Are you kidding me. He was having his best round.

Re: HBO-Khan vs McCloskey, Berto vs Ortiz
Kahn is just 24. He won't turn 25 until December. If he were to beat Bradley and become the man at 140 after beating Kotelnik, Maidana, and Bradley, that would be rather impressive. If Bradley wins, a run of beating Holt, Alexander, Kahn, would be very impressive as well.
Winner of that fight really deserves to be called the man at 140.

damn, Berto rehydrates to 156 and Ortiz to 161. How was Ortiz fighting even close to 140?

I've been saying since the Peterson fight that he was a monster at 140. If he could've continued at the weight he would've made a lot of noise.
