Rd 1. Lots of jabs from Hearns, who is much busier. Lots of holes on the inside on Hearns. Crowd applauds when Sturm lands his jab and a little hook lol

10-9 Sturm

Rd 2. Sturm lands the lab. Hearns still lots of jabs but not many landed. Hearns pawing with the right. Hearns goes for a body shot. Hearns might have gotten a little right uppercut in late but I didn't see clearly.

20-18 Sturm

R3. Hearns arm punches. Hearns went for a lot of straight rights to the body this round, but almost all come up short or hit elbows. He's got a huge range advantage but can't use it right. Sturm is content to block punches on the outside and just jab his way in. The straight, quick jab of Sturm continues to win him rounds.

3-0 Sturm

Thanks BL, i'm checking it out, Ron Hearns doesn't figure to do much he ain't a chip off the old block or anywhere near as good as his daddy, Tommy.

Hearns comes out very aggressive for the 5th. lands a couple left hooks to the body. Hearns getting wild trying to loop around Sturm's shell defense. Sturm gets backed up a bit but then comes back and resumes jabbing the crap out of Hearns. Hearns' defense and balanace is nonexistent at this point. Sturm starting to put the right hand behind the jab near the end of the round.

Sturm never seems to fight anybody worth a fuck, maybe that's why he's been a champion so long, and yeah, they seem to love him in das deutschland.

Rd 6 : Sturm appeared to land over 75% of his shots in this round. Hearns is just being thoroughly outboxed plain and simple.

Easy fight for Sturm because Hearns just lets him walk him down.

yea, he had hearns hurt in the corner with a right hand, then lined up another perfect right hand. Hearns was slumped over asleep on his feet and the ref stopped it.

Hearns was such a joke challenger.

He got KO'D on shobox about 2 years ago against Harry Joe Yorgey(an okay fighter, but not a world beater as Angulo absolutely destroyed him about 6 months after he beats Hearns). He was fighting at 154 and he couldn't beat a guy the level of Yorgey.

He goes out and beats a bunch of no-hopers (not anyone close to top 200 at 160) and he somehow is up for a fight with Sturm. An absolute joke.

the WBA had him ranked at no.12. anybody between rankings 1-15 is eligible for a title shot. Sturm has made a career in Germany of doing this. going down to the second half of the WBA's rankings and cherry-picking who he fights. maybe getting robbed against De La Hoya changed his mentality a lot about fighting away from home, and maybe it gave him a few ideas on how to make an easy payday.

anyway, where the fuck is Ronald's dad in this?? his father has been left talking with a stammer and is as slow as molasses through extending his career further than required. Ronald son, you just aint got what it takes and you're going to end up punch-drunk like the old man if you keep on. my advice, take the money from Germany, go rest up and then decide what the next chapter in Ronald Hearns' life is going to be. because whatever it is, he doesn't belong in the prizefighting ring

This was a joke fight, no offense to Hearns. Sturm didn't look bad so I hope he fights a deserving challenger someday. I tested out ESPN3 on my xbox for the first time and it worked well.
