Maidana Hires Nacho Beristan

An agreement was reached and my new trainer will be Ignacio Nacho Beristain. We'll travel to Mexico on Saturday to start with him.

Does Maidana have beef with Cyclops ?

Well I dont think Nacho could help Chino very much, hes just a straight brawler. Arce did improve much with Nacho on his side.

Maybe Nacho can teach him some balance as well as some counter punching technique.

Nacho's not a bad choice at all he's a world class trainer, but you'd think Maidana would want to hook up with his fellow countryman Martinez by hiring Cyclops.

Maybe he's trying to avoid a sparring session with Mattysse after those body shots he took from Khan.

It's too late to completely change up Maidana's style. The fact is, Maidana is 100% heart and power. He doesn't have much skill, speed, or athleticism. I'm afraid this duo will ruin what Maidana does best; stalk opponents down and hurt them.
