Am I a bad person if I'm a Margo fan?

Seriously I think Margo is awesome. Hes a badass, come forward, all action fighter with tons of heart that never stops trying that will eat bombs and laugh at his opponent. Hes also seems like a funny, likable guy. Whats not to like about him other than the whole attempting to cheat thing? Most people may not be able to get past that but I got past it a long time ago so I'm going to root for him again. Does that make me a bad person? Me going along with the crowd trying to take the moral high ground and saying that Margo is a disgusting animal who should be banned for life isn't going to change a thing. The guy is still going to be a millionaire and live the good life no matter what anyone says so I say good luck to him and keep on fighting and entertaining.

I just felt this needed to be said because I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way but that most people are afraid to say it because they will be viewed by others who disagree as morally bankrupt.

I dont think your a bad person for being a margo fan. I like to watch margo fight still but I cant say I am a fan of his anymore. I will say that I dont really care about the hand wrap situation anymore.

I've disliked Margo long before the cheating incident although that has made me go from dislike to despise.

First off, I don't like the way he looks. The slick mullet just screams asshole to me. Something about him has always seemed dirty to me.

Second, I hate the way he fights. All action, marginal skill. His greatest assets are his size, durability, and stamina. That doesn't mean excitement to me. I just don't think he's a quality fighter, and I've never been able to pinpoint how he wins fights, which frustrates me to no end.

The third thing is that he hasn't earned his reputation. He's been among the better fighters in the division, not the most feared. Somehow he remained ahead of Paul Williams in reputation and getting fights after that loss. That always bothered me because I was eager for a Paul/Floyd or Paul/Cotto showdown around that time.

Looks like he stepped out of a "Sergio Leone" spaghetti western flick. Even Antonio's most ardent fans must admit that the "Margo - Pacquiao" fight is a classic "good guy vs. bad guy" contest. If I was promoting this, I'd find a way to work that to the limit. Roach pretending he has major problems in his camp is transparent and boring. Arum (slime that he is) has missed a major theme that could make this fight bigger. Other than Duran, Aaron Pryor and maybe Lupe Pintor, I don't know any other fighter that has that classic killer look like Margo. Of course, in my opinion, the tough guy look is just a look. I expect him to be knocked into another time zone before the clang of the bell dissipates. My call.
