They referenced a Gordie Hat Trick on Sportscenter the other night! The Ice Bowl! My first sports book was Jerry Kramer's "Instant Replay!" Casey Stengle in front of Congress is one of the funniest things ever spoken! It's funny. I watched the Bannister-Landy race where Landy looks the wrong way earlier today. Roger Bannister was not just a great athlete. He was a great man. The post race call where McWirter announces the time is one of sport's great calls.

I actually have that whole exchange on a CD. Mickey timed it perfectly.

Cam Neely barreling down the wing and putting it topshelf over Patrick Roy.

Ray Bourque giving up the #7 to Phil Esposito. Classiest thing I have ever seen in all of sports.

That as SUCH a great move by Ray Ray. He's the only guy I ever saw who got a championship celebration by one city when he won a title for someone else.

And he deserved it too. What a great player Bourque was.

Game's 4-7 of the '04 ALCS. The most humbling events in my life as a die hard Yankee fan. Even more humbling than the Yankees in the 80's. The Yankees losing was and will never be as painful.

Scott Norwood... "WIDE RIGHT!!!".

Usain Bolt 2008 Beijing.

March 28th 1995 Madison Square Garden, Michael Jordan goes for 21-37 and 55 points in only his fifth game back from a 17 month retirement to break his own opponent scoring record in MSG against The Knicks. I'm getting nauseous typing this.

I'm sure some of mine will have already been taken but

Basketball:
Lebron James on the fast break
MJ in clutch situation
Willis Reed Game 7
Isiah Thomas Game 6 sprained ankle
A personal one for me is Illinois-Arizona Elite 8 2005. Illini's comeback in a fairy tale year was legendary. I will never forget Luther Head's grimace after getting a steal and outhuscling everyone for a fast break layup with a hurt hammy.

Baseball:
A typical Greg Maddux game
Albert Pujols or Barry Bonds at bat
Jim Edmunds in the outfield
Kirk Gibson's shot

Football:
James Harrison's SB near 100 yd TD
Manning Tyree - sorry Marble
Reggie Bush vs Fresno State
VY vs USC
Joe Montana in the SB
Barry Sanders movement

Tennis:
Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal - one graceful and one all heart

Boxing:
Manny P's joy
B-Hop's staredown
Roy Jones in his prime
Trilogies excluding Ruiz-Holyfield
Marciano's determination
SRR
Saad Muhammed or Gatti comebacks

With ONE NOTABLE exception a great list.

BTW I am still searching the NFL Rulebook. I KNOW there is a rule that prohibits trapping the ball against one's head. I KNOW it! It's in there somewhere!

Jason Lezak swam the anchor in that incredible relay, Phelps outtouched a guy named Cavic in the 100 butterfly coming from behind IIRC.
