:D Ricky Bruns wants the Ring title

"I'm after the Ring magazine title," Burns said. "I want to fight Fana, he is number one and I'm number two.

"There has been talk about it on the net about the two of us fighting for the Ring magazine award.

"It's the belt I've always wanted as well, so if we can get it happening, let's get it on.

"That's just the fight I would like to get, I will leave it up to my manager and promoter and I'm sure if they can get the fight to happen they will. I'm willing to fight anybody."

I realize this is in one of the weaker, non-money divisions but this is great to hear and makes me a fan.

excellent comment and excellent timing. now is the time to do it for Ricky. he seems to really have the Scottish behind him, after his brave display against Martinez he is Britain's newest Rocky story. He's made the comments at the time when the division is weak. and it's a smart thing to say. Ring title recognition gives him exposure on a much bigger scale, he has a good promoter behind him that has the money to make these fights happen. i wouldn't be surprised if you hear an announcement soon

I think more and more fighter's are figuring it out that nobody gives a fuck that they got a trinket, and The Ring is the only belt that matters to fans

I really never have given the guy a second thought but I will now.

Fana just recently stated that if they want the fight all Warren has to do is call them. Yet Warren has yet to do so.

I am pretty sure Ricky was being serious when he mentioned his desire to win the Ring belt. Hopefully this fight he's got scheduled is to just keep busy and won't become the norm.
