I guess Jerry Jones must have started a trend by having those 2 Pacquiao fights at Cowboy Stadium, and now the Silverdome is getting into the act.
I'd say at least $50, plus parking fees if you're driving a vehicle.
BTW, Tim
Glad to see you posting here dude.

My loss is your gain. I thought for sure the Lou would win out but somehow competitive fairness won out over the almighty dollar. I would've brought some cousins to the fight and tried to influence the judges to give Alexander the fight

Yea I hope they dont overprice them
When I went to Ward-Kessler they wherent too bad out here in Oakland, 35 + fees ended up around 40 something
Maybe ticket sales will be slow and you'll get comped

WOW
Horn (Vegas)
What was the primary reason the Silverdome was picked for Bradley/Alexander? I mean the facility and city itself does not make sense...
Dan Rafael(12:00 PM)
Apparently the folks who run the Silverdome are putting up a lot of money (stunningly more than $500,000 from what I am told) to host the fight.

Re: Alexander vs Bradley Jr.
WOW, I think Jerry Jones is starting a trend. If this fight is a succes (which I think will sell) we may see more fights in NFL Stadiums. Cotto fighting at the home of the Giants/Jets? very possiblegomez1012 wrote:WOWHorn (Vegas)

This fight will sell, 2 young black champions in post Katrina, they will fill seats. Sometimes people dont go to fights because of whos fighting, they go just to go.

Re: Alexander vs Bradley Jr.
I think this will be a decent fight. Bradley is going to force Alexander to trade. We will see if Alexander has learned from the Kotelnik fight (how to fight going backwards, how to not go straight back, how to do more than flurry and then stand there to get potshot).
I'm taking Bradley by decision as he seems to have a more consistent workrate.

True, the big fight big venue is gaining steam
Arum trying to do Cotto & Foreman double header at Giants Stadium next year
I know Kieran Mulvaney said this fight is getting an HBO Countdown show which will definitely help
And like you said, two young talented ranked African American fighters in the main event in an urban area should do alright

Isn't there a rematch clause in the contract regardless of the outcome?

it's a shame because the next logical step would be Khan/Maidana winner vs Bradley/Alexander. fuck the rematch

Wasn't the Silverdome for sale a while back for like $500K or something? Hell, that's the price of a pretty nice house in a lot of places

It will be interesting to see what kind of numbers the fight does, although Bradley & Alexander are well known by us hardcore fans, i'm not sure the general boxing public (casual fans) know who they are, especially Alexander.

I hope they try to get the right guys on undercard (local guys/regional guys).
I hope they go hardcore in trying to promote the fight locally. Start reaching out to all the Detroit print and tv media as early as possible. Go to the extreme to promote this damn fight.
