Allakhverdiev-Guzman?
Unbeaten Russian junior welterweight contender Khabib Allakhverdiev (17-0, 8 knockouts) will likely face his trial-by-fire test later this year in the form of former champion Joan Guzman (33-0-1, 20 KOs), according to Allakhverdiev's manager, Vlad Hrunov.

What are you guys talking about? Guzman is #3!
Lets talk about the most feared and exciting boxer at 140 pounds, and why big name boxers (Campbell, Judah, Khan, Garcia, Pacquiao) and HBO Boxing refuse to fight him. I KNOW WHY! - Because Joan "Little Tyson" Guzman at 33 - 0 - 20 KO's is the most intimidating figure in boxing today. Sure many people only like to talk about his past troubles with discipline, but lets be serious, He is the best at beating people up and thats why the big name HBO Boxing backed fighters are chickenly afraid to face him. Here is his most recent win by KO in the first round last night, which with Khan's rescent embarrising lose ranks Guzman at 3rd place at 140 pounds.

36 is pretty old for a boxer of his size.

and he probably isn't going to get a significant fight again. He blew off weight against Funeka a couple of years ago and has been fighting journeymen since.
