Audley Harrison refuses to go away

Former Olympic gold medallist Audley Harrison (28-5, 21KOs) was in danger of being slaughtered once again for a shot-shy performance before a crushing onslaught ended Ali Adams’ hopes of pulling of an upset at the Brentwood Centre in Essex.

Harrison, 40, made a cagey start to the fight and just couldn’t find his range in the opening two rounds as Adams (13-4-1, 5KOs) looked determined to end the fight early and put the Londoner’s career to bed.

A better third round followed and with a trademark left hand, followed by a right hook in the fourth, Harrison changed the course of the bout as he did against Michael Sprott two years’ ago and finished the contest with a flurry of punches until the referee stepped in.

‘A-Force’ has now put himself back on the domestic scene and with a realistic chance of opposing newly-crowned British champion David Price later this year as the title holder recently stated he wants to win the Lonsdale belt outright.

It was Harrison's first fight since the third round TKO loss to David Haye in November of 2010.

Honestly I wouldn't mind watching Price slaughter Fraudley.
