Cheating is cheating. He took it before first fight and again.

I honestly don't get that jacked up about it if nba players or mlb players do it. But when football players, MMA fighters, boxers, or any other sport where pure violence is the goal, then it concerns me. Fighters have their health at risk every fight. Any cheating should be punished harshly.

Now maybe Peterson really was told by a doctor that he had low testosterone levels and to take it.

But that still wouldn't explain why he first told the testing agency he never took anything after being caught. Then after both samples come back, he conveniently remembers that he went to a doctor and was told to take this stuff.

Amir still wanted to fight Peterson despite this.

Khan was on Ringside today talking about the fallout, he'll take some time off then return in July either in America or in England. He mentioned Danny Garcia and Juan Manuel Marquez.

i doubt marquez takes the fight.i hope he does and kahn drills him..garcia more then likely would say yes.

Garcia would make alot of sense but the WBC are forcing to him to take a mandatory.

if its garcia its number 3 vs 4 for the rings cheapend belt since number 2 did drugs number 1 is fighting at a higher weight and maybe by then kahn gets his other belts back so screw the phoney manditory .

Looks like GB is going to do legal action against VADA and Team Peterson. Apparantly VADA and Peterson knew of the positive result since April 13. Yet GB and Khan were not told of it until May 7th. And that was not by VADA or Peterson but from the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

I rarely side with GB. But I don't blame them. Total bullshit. GB is correct that had they been told on April 13 they would had time to find a replacement.

GB will take a big loss. Tickets were sold. A venue. HBO paying for the fight.

going after Peterson is fine.

VADA-??? From what I've read from Gabe Montoya of Maxboxing who broke the story and has been working on it non-stop: GB isn't a party to any contract with VADA. those as far as I've heard are signed between the fighters and the testing organization. VADA is not required to notify GB of anything. Peterson's A sample was positive. VADA informed him. He chose to have his B sample tested. It came back positive. VADA notified the parties it was required to. Golden Boy is not one of them.

i rarely approve of all the courtroom drama by fighters etc etc but in this case GB has a legit claim for damages..as captain pointed out not against the doping agency but certainly petterson.1.he signed a contract in which golden boy was a part of.2.he had a contactual obligation to notify the commisions of medication he was taking and if needed a doctor and or both lab tests to back that perscription.he conviently used the excuse i forgot about the meds which no body nor any judge will buy.3. he and his team chose not to notify the promoters of the fight of his failed test.both of them.the test and its results if possitive im sure where part of a contactual agreement between golden boy the fighters and any legal rep who signed that contract....
there will be more then enough evidence to not only warrant a suit but to win it for damages.its arguable that the doping agency had a moral or ethical obligation to report its findings but not a legal one as captain has pointed out.to sue the agency is a signal for others like it to say no to any testing in the future with fighters i feel.
sue the right parties and righly so your damages which is plenty will be rewarded.petterson is a cheat.he tried to fly under the rador and got caught.his excuses are nonsence to mask his real intent which is and was to cheat..i forgot is a joke.his team also forgot.dont tell me they were ignorant of the fact.

in this case it was a blantant avoidence of his contractual obligations plus any rules involving medication etc etc under a commisions drug policy.i forgot is a slap in the face and a total insult to the commisions the contract to kahn and all involved..tell him hes done.

Golden Boy are right to pursue this as they've just lost alot money promoting this event and from other financial logistics of hosting the upcoming event, if they had been notified earlier they could have salvaged the card.

Adrien Broner also loses out as he was set to fight on the card.
