Tony Bellew's 5th round KO of McIntosh
I am really starting to like Bellew he's entertaining, and with Eddie Hearns promoting him Tony can become a star in the UK.

he knocked out a guy that had sat for 13 months and was TKO'd in the previous fight. And that is Bellew's best win.

he will be in some good fights. But I'm not sure where he goes from here.
Cleverly is better than him and they already fought.
Bellew has faced the other decent UK light heavys and they leave alot to be desired.

Captain is only telling the truth. You can only judge how good a fighter is by the competition he has fought. We don't need to get into the over hype jobs that exposed as soon as they moved up and stopped fighting bums.

Re: Tony Bellew's 5th round KO of McIntosh
he did very well vs Cleverly.
When I go through the list of guys in the UK at 175, the list has a huge gap.
There is Cleverly (who while being ranked in top 5 is still rather untested).
Then Bellew.
Then there is a pretty big gap.

I enjoyed the KO!!!! He isn't a boring fighter.
Don't take offense because there isn't alot of british fights for him that are intriguing. It isn't his fault!!

You're so touchy about your UK fighters. Relax. Nobody is shitting on the guy. Just pointing out he's very untested.

Re: Tony Bellew's 5th round KO of McIntosh
Ali-who can Bellew fight in the UK that will make him a star there?
I'm not questioning you, I'm just asking.
I think he has a bit of a raw deal. NOt many good UK opponents except Cleverly.
And the bulk of the top 10-15 at 175 campaign in the US.
There are some european fighters that are decent but nothing special that I could see him facing.

are Degale and Groves struggling with the 168 limit? Is Jeffries that far along?

No and no, but those names would help give Bellew exposure.
Bellew is promoted by Eddie Hearns and is fighting on Sky Sports, he's got the tools, style and personality to be a star here.
