this is the same as every mayweather fight for me. he should be able to pick apart cotto easily as long as he hasnt lost it all yet. one of these days though he is going to lose it and then lose. so it could be an upset but i think that mayweather is still sharp.

Yeah I agree. The old Cotto doing more of the brawler thing might have had a shot, but Cotto the boxer is outmatched here.

Me too, these guys hate Floyd that's why. Who would have been a better opponent? He's fighting the second top 3-4 guy in a division not named Pacquiao in a row this time at a higher weight and he's 35. This is the most active we've seen Mayweather in years and people still complain. Bob Arum will not match Pacquiao with Mayweather anymore. Not after Pacquiao looked bad against Marquez for a third time. Cotto has proven to be world class and a champion in multiple divisions. The Bradley Pacquiao fight is also intriguing as well. To say that five years ago this fight should have happened isn't absurd but look at the timeline, Floyd was fighting Baldomir (Ring Champ) and Cotto, Quintana, Urkal then Judah (the same Judah that Mayweather defeated a year prior) after Baldomir Mayweather fought Oscar and became "Money" then beat Hatton. Cotto was fighting Shane Mosley and Alfonso Gomez at that time then dropped a fight Margarito. When would this fight have happened? 2009 would have probably been better but that's when Cotto fought Manny. The fact that it's happening now is a good thing. These guys never had a real crossroad until now.
